DVOA Warwick - Green

Pretty much all OK except number 4, which is the one that ultimately dropped me several spots and made my time over an hour. Got too far downslope and lost track trying to count streams. Also confused by what I could see of the marshes/bigger creek. Thought I had gone too far when I hadn't actually gone far enough. Glimpsed a control lower, ran to that, it was in a little reentrant on the edge of the narrow uncrossable marsh. But at the time I couldn't determine where it was. Went higher on slope, doubled back, still no luck, and on coming back down finally identified the broken ground/pits right below the marsh. Then knew where that other control was located, and was able to find mine. But way too much bumbling.

Drifted a little high on the way to 10 and bounced off the terrace by the trail, also a little high to 11 but just had to go around a mess of deadfall to get to it.

Also discovered when changing that I had forgotten to bring clean socks :-(

It was a nice day to be out though. A little overdressed because the fields felt very cold with the wind. Once I got in the woods having long sleeves was too much.

Went to the tack shop and then to St Peter's and ate lunch at the bakery, which was fantastic, and randomly ran into a friend there too.
