Walked to the other neighborhood and back after hearing sirens and seeing on county control that there was an apartment fire over there. Not much to see by the time I got there - no flames, fire trucks leaving, must have been pretty minor or at least put out quickly.

Area around the ponds on the way over there smelled bizarrely of chocolate, the way it smells in Hershey near the factory but almost more potent. Not sure if that was related to the fire or not.

DVOA Mid-Atlantic Championships at Fair Hill Strawbridge Fields - Green

Fine, and fun, but I felt like I had no energy, especially on climbs. Ended up going way north in the fields between 3 and 4 after getting tangled in briars when trying to cut through the first little finger of woods. Overall, did decent at staying out of the worst of the thorns, though. Had to run early and split for home as I was working for someone 3-11 tonight (I rarely get asked to do a weekend so I kind of had to say yes, plus can use the overtime.)

Despite being lazy and fat, today my total logged training hours for the year passed last year (and became the most since 2010)
