I won a $100 Dick's gift card in the drawing from yesterday.... probably looking at a new bike helmet, and the rest going toward a bike rack for my hitch

Apparently today is National Walking Day, and work has a contest where you have a chance to win some pretty decent gift cards if you submit a track from a walk of 30 minutes or more.

I was out at an equestrian club meeting (tour of a rescue that our spring event might benefit) so I knocked this out in the dark when I got back.

DVOA Ridley Creek - Green

Not my best and not my worst, I guess. I had a few minutes of issues with both 6 and 7, checked out a wrong control on the way to 12, and made probably a bad route choice to 17. My original plan was to take trails to the top and drop down to it, but then I got pulled off the road when I saw other people doing it. It turns out they had a closer control, so thanks to the false peer pressure I ended up doing this weird semi-contouring through the green, which involved crossing 2 streams. The green wasn't *super* awful, and I came out right by the control, so I guess it worked out ok but it was probably slower. My arm ended up bleeding a lot, though.
