Saturday Jun 21

Day 7 of Ride the Rockies - Buena Vista to Breckenridge. Last day. Started out not mentally into the ride. camping and living out of a bag all week is starting to wear on me. My head got into it after the ride started, but I was a little ride. The whole day was a climb of some type or another. MK had a bad day until the last 4 miles up the climb to 11,500' Hoosier Pass (the steepest part). She took off and it took a huge effort just to keep her wheel. After topping out, we blasted into Breckenridge to the finish line.

Great trip!

Friday Jun 20

Cycling long (RTR) 4:50:00 [4]75.0 mi (3:51 / mi) +1325m 2:17 / km
ahr:127 max:162 slept:8.0 shoes: Pearl Izumi
Day 6 of Ride the Rockies - Crested Butte to Buena Vista. Big climbing day going over 12,000' Cottonwood Pass via dirt road climb. Spent most of the day over 9000' so it was chilly the whole day. Felt tired the first 40 miles until we got to Taylor Park. Hit a mountain dew to wake up. about 2 miles into the climb my body woke up and I attacked the climb passing people like they were standing still. Ever put a minute or two on Michelle which is unheard of on a climb. I'm just getting stronger every day. Hit 55 mph on the way down the other side. Awesome day.

Note
slept:8.0 (rest day)
Rest Day in Crested Butte. Rode the bike around town exploring.

Wednesday Jun 18

Cycling long (RTR) 6:08:00 [4]92.0 mi (3:59 / mi) +1766m 2:21 / km
ahr:132 max:167 slept:8.0 shoes: Pearl Izumi
day 4 of Ride the Rockies - Montrose to Crested Butte. Biggest day of the ride. 92 miles with 5800' of climbing. Felt awesome and really strong all day. At 75 miles we started the final 17 miles and 1000' climb into Crested Butte into a vicious headwind the whole time. The wind really started to wear me down by the end.

Tuesday Jun 17

Cycling long (RTR) 4:21:00 [3]67.0 mi (3:53 / mi) +549m 2:22 / km
ahr:123 max:169 slept:8.0 shoes: Pearl Izumi
Day 3 of Ride the Rockies - Telluride to Montrose. Started with a ton of downhill out of Telluride. I must have recovered well because I felt pretty good today. Little climbing today with only 1800' of climbing, the least amount of the whole trip. The last 10-15 miles into Montrose got to be pretty boring. Hot day today hitting in the mid 90's in Montrose.

Monday Jun 16

Cycling long (RTR) 6:00:00 [4]77.0 mi (4:40 / mi) +1523m 2:44 / km
ahr:137 max:168 slept:8.0 shoes: Pearl Izumi
Day 2 of Ride the Rockies - Cortez to Telluride. Much harder day today with 5000' of climbing. Hit Lizard Head Pass at over 10,000 ft a few minutes behind Michelle. Hard day.
