Orienteering race (JWOC Sprint) 21:42 [5] 2.8 km (7:45 / km) +50m 7:07 / km
shoes: O Shoes
first orienteering since team trials. Just came in from airborne school so it is a little interesting.

pretty good flow and performance overall except it fell apart on two controls. I would have had a respectable time if not for those two extremely bad controls. There were others that I could have cleaned up but 8 and 10 were the worst.

Sunday Jun 8

Physical (Run) 25:00 [3]
Run in the morning (70-80 degrees w humidity) felt really good, ran a little around post nice and wet afterwards
Note
Beginning to become more aclimated to the heat. It is not as bad but it is still going to be some fun. The first day was the worst and it has gotten easier each day. The walk to the PX (longer than I thought) was really good even though it was early in the day.

They have given us Cerasport Electrolyte Mix (the lemon-lime taste like chalk) they are basically gookinaid but taste worse.

The mess facility that we have eaten in (BOLC II - Infantry DFAC) is pretty good but the meals never change. We will have to see how the airborne one is starting tomorrow.

Saturday Jun 7

Physical (Long Walk) 2:30:00 [2]
Walked around post, to PX, started coming back, gave a ride.

Friday Jun 6

Note
Inprocess for Airborne school (3 weeks) lots of hot, standing around, and a little bit of running, moving and such. (Heat Cat 5 for most of the day)
