| Went out with a map and just walked/jogged around with a map in the woods. Practiced looking for features from far away and in green. no specific points. Picked up O-Controls that had been left on ski slope for weeks. Also determined that the highest point in post is what remains of Redoubt 3.
Tried following a trail a found in the woods "Redoubt 3 Trail" Failed miserably, not on map so it was understandable. Tried following a trail that was mapped in the woods on my return, failed again. Possibly should just end in the middle of the woods on the map because that is what it did. Was able to examine control placement of Intramural Orienteering (ran into them), I classify their course setting ability as horrible but it is what happens when the course setters don't have that much experience.

| 3Km run for GPB. Also did extra little to get judgment on 2 mile APFT time.
Too soon after breakfast but pretty good time. About 12:09 for 2 mile running to Thayer, around Buffalo Soldier, and back. Somewhat chilly. Should do better when I test. Legs still a little tired from this last week.

| Orienteering (Practice course (7-Finish) 57:08 [4] *** 7.12 km (8:01 / km) +360m 6:24 / km | ||
| ahr:164 max:188 spiked:6/7c shoes: New Balance 2 | ||
| Ran start to 7 to finish. No Gaiters (RECOMMENDED HIGHLY) or Pants (Another thing needed)
Problems - overran 8, cut up legs, not feeling greatly energetic particularly from the start to 7 warm-up and the week's previous activities Good - route choice to 9 was not too slow, route to 10 proved faster than most. Finding the blue flagging and not the bag much more technical. to 12 was quick. practiced technical routes throughout Will be a good course for the A-meet. Goal time will be right around what is desired. *Notes - Found a control just to the west of the start. Punch but no number or anything.

| 5 Min warm up
5KM out, 5KM back, out by round pond. Did push-ups and sit-ups in room. Tested out back to start route function on garmin. Pretty interesting and very useful for times when not wanting to figure out how to get back, or just when you are lost off your ass.

| Ran out Flirty, around and up to star intersection near Subway, went up to Delafield, came around to Lusk and ended going a little cross country at water tank near the Chapel.
Took really easy and nice, try to loosen up from flight.
