spiked:26/29c shoes: O Shoes
No Actual measurements because no Garmin

Nice course, good spectator controls coupled with technical terrain. some route choice problems that slowed me down but a little safer.

Saturday Apr 19

Event: US Middle Distance and Relay Champs

Orienteering race (ROC Middle) 35:53 [5] *** 5.39 km (6:39 / km) +557m 4:23 / km
ahr:181 max:193 spiked:12/14c shoes: O Shoes
Race Stats: 4.59km, 150M, 1:10000, 5M
The ROC middle distance US champs was a good race

Technical and lots of elevation all at once.

Good course all together

I was not expecting to do as well as I did with how I was feeling from two error controls.
Orienteering race (ROC Sprint) 15:33 [5] *** 2.6 km (5:59 / km)
spiked:13/14c shoes: O Shoes
Garmin stopped working so no actual measurements

Good start but I launched wrong going to 4. somewhere around 1-2min error.

Good use of terrain, all was pretty good.
Liked the course

One piece of information: point 9 had two different e-punch boxes with different numbers. Didn't like that but I informed the e-punch crew.

Sprint 3 - Splits

Red - Splits

Ran out by Shea, Was feeling really good for a bit but then it started to get tiring. Felt pretty good overall.

Wednesday Apr 16

Orienteering (Practice Course) 37:36 [3] *** 4.35 km (8:39 / km) +278m 6:33 / km
ahr:167 max:183 spiked:12/12c shoes: New Balance 2
Took the course a little slow. Ended up not feeling very good near the end but my navigation was perfect.

I was a little tired on some of the hills and I slipped a little bit but it was pretty good. I think I could have gone a little faster had slightly better route choices but I needed to feel a little better.

My knee wasn't bothering me so hopefully it is gone.
PE Class (Boxing) 55:00 [3]
Reviewed crosses.

Really learned that southpaws and conventional fighters do not get along with crosses.

Tuesday Apr 15

Orienteering (Practice Course) 41:43 [3] *** 4.43 km (9:25 / km) +247m 7:22 / km
ahr:158 max:182 spiked:5/10c shoes: New Balance 2
Ran a course today, wasn't clicking. Got inside circle but wasn't trusting myself. Nothing wrong navigating. Cleaned up near the end.

Knee slightly hurting but not too bad.

Lots of leaves to slip on.

Sit-ups and Push-ups afterwards

Monday Apr 14

short recovery run after billygoat. Spent all day feeling like an Old man because of my knee. Went out and loosened up, felt tired but otherwise pretty good. Knee only gave me a little trouble but nothing too bad.

Stretched, PU and SU afterwards.
