Patuxent O Meet - Red. Nice day - not as nice as Sat. but nice. Temps in the 40's to 50's. Crisp when the sun hid in the clouds and the wind blows. My left foot was doing better. Lost time on 4 controls due to failure to read map and poor compass work on the longer legs. sprinted last leg pretty hard - hence "4" intensity.

ran on the track w/ a map. My left foot is still giving me trouble. I think it is the tendon that attaches to the muscle that runs down the shin. Seems to be an injury that hurts less after it warms up however.

600 cal. The top of my left foot definitely hurts when I run and the tongue of my running shoe touches it. Walking barefoot or wearing the shoe excesively loose means I don't feel the hurt. Don't know how I can run like that. . . .

458 cal. Felt fine except for this nagging pain in my left foot. Feels like a bruised tendon right at the point where my shoe's tougue presses on the foot. Annoying and hope it doesn't get worse, but I ignored it for 4 miles.
