Started out OK, even though a major thunderstorm came through about 15 minutes after the start.
I ran down a dry stream-bed then took a trail for a dog-leg control; by the time I got back to the stream it had 6 inches of water in it.
I couldn't unfog my glasses and I had a hard time finding the controls, which were nightO controls used in the day. Twice I had to wait for someone else to arrive to point out the control to me. Lots of nettles, poison ivy.

Interval portion was 1X1200 in 4:40 (R 5min) 2x800 in 3:00 (R 3min); was going to finish with some fast quarters, but was too tired (830pm); felt OK during the run, but after my hamstring hurt and this morning I can hardly walk. I better stick to jogging for a long time.

Wasted a lot of time looking for the first control, which wasn't there. Made an 8 minute error at #12 when I got completely engulfed by some dark green into which I ventured looking for a trail which may have been there 10 years ago when the map was made. But it was a dumb route choice anyway.
