Orienteering race 51:00 [4] **** 3.1 km (16:27 / km)
shoes: VJ Integrater
Club Champs at Sauchie Crags
It was a cold damp and windy day. I wimped out of the Women's course to do a shorter course (junior girls) due to my recent injuries and to see how they fared on the terrain, they weren?t too bad but my orienteering skills were absolute mince! Over-shot controls by miles due to the 1:7500 scale, also took some pretty dodgy routes due to not being particularly bothered to look at the map or compass, paid far too much attention to where my feet were going and to ducking under low branches - it was a tad on the rough side. Thank you to Gareth for planning and making the map but I enjoyed Jan's hot soup after the run more!
Dancing tempo 3:00:00 [3]
shoes: Dancing Shoes
Three hours of full-on ceilidh dancing at FVO dinner dance. Nearly passed out on a couple of occasions due to centrifugal force caused by Rosco during strip the willow. Excellent FVO do as usual. I think most seemed to have saved their energy for the dance floor rather than the Club Champs?

Swimming 17:57 [4] 0.8 km (22:26 / km)
Thought I'd better make sure I could still swim properly as I'm psyching myself up for the mini-triathlon next week! Did 4 sets of 200m alternate freestyle and breaststroke: 4.04, 4.43, 4.16 & 4.54 before being evacuated from the pool due to an incident! Someone had an "accident" in the pool and it had to be cleaned up! Not sure what the accident was exactly, but was far enough away not to notice - yukk. Lots of recreational swimmers in the way and had to dodge them a lot, don't think I can get away with swimming underneath them nowadays...

Night Orienteering 46:00 [4] ** 4.4 km (10:27 / km)
shoes: Walsh
Very sensibly re-planned from Dumyat to Hermitage Woods and Uni by Trevor at short notice due to the disgustingly wet weather, thanks to the persuasion of some slightly more sensible types. Mind you, it was still horrible on the lower slippery slopes and then there was the added bonus of some nasty brambles. Lou, Abi and I decided on doing our own girly freestyle courses - missing out the odd control whilst getting spooked along the way... Starting to think we're all a bit nuts!?

It was a good crack in the pub and those veggie burritos are definitely growing in popularity.

Pilates 45:00 [2]
shoes: Bare feet
How often do you get to impersonate a seal in the office, good job everyone in the room was having a go or I would have felt a bit silly... getting the hang of pilates and finding new stomach muscles I didn't know I had.

Sunday Nov 18

Gardening 1:30:00 [2]
shoes: Wellies
Raking leaves from the garden. Filled the brown wheelie bin! Would rather have been orienteering at Errochty but feet too sore - saving them for Wednesday.
