Run 1:06:40 [4] 11 km (6:04 / km)
shoes: Saucony Omni
If ever the bat signal was required, today was the day (not that I was anywhere near the sofa). Had to muster up some enthusiasm for a run today after yesterday's disasterous attempt at reps! Set off as the sun was disappearing on the horizon and returned in the dark. Ran along the river, onto and along the canal and round Linlithgow Loch. The palace and loch looked lovely with the pink sky as a backdrop, made the run worthwhile. Felt a lot better than yesterday but with no significant hills it was an easy run but the darkness made me run faster... whoooooo!

Run 37:00 [4] 7 km (5:17 / km)
shoes: Saucony Omni
Set out to do hill reps.  Warm up run along the canal and up the hill towards Beecraigs to what I thought was a good hill to do my first lot of reps for ages.  Didn't bank on having a stonking headache due to dehydration and sinus trouble and so only managed three lots of 2min reps before I halted proceedings and had an easy jog back down to the car.  Need to get rid of this cold before doing any more of these.  I need some company for hill reps, it's too hard on your own!

Pilates 1:00:00 [2]
Cor blimey, I'm going to hurt tomorrow. Some new exercises caused a bit of amusement, swimming on your front and running whilst lying on your side.
Run (Terrain/road) 1:03:01 [4] 9 km (7:00 / km)
shoes: Walsh
Fantastic run with the FVO posse, went round the opposite way to the run we did four weeks ago: Bridge of Allan, Mine and Hermitage Woods. Set off at a cracking pace to keep up with the guys. Abi set a good pace for the girls. I felt fab and I guess I'm now feeling the benefits of all this training at last! Thoroughly enjoyed the downhill sections of the run despite going over my ankle on the road section (dodgy rroad camber).

A snowy owl scared the bjesus out of me near the golf course as it hooted as I went past, it lit up beautifully in the trees with my big headtorch, snowy owls are a lot bigger than I imagined.

Great AP banter in the Westerton. Veggie Burritos made a popular choice for 5/7 diners but I still can't eat a whole one (JonX can one handed plus seconds and Rosco had his first)!

Orienteering race 1:04:13 [3] **** 4.5 km (14:16 / km) +160m 12:07 / km
spiked:7/10c shoes: VJ Integrater
Absolutely no problem finding the controls but getting there was a major problem today, went off at 90 degrees on some of the legs, which gave me some extra loops and I lost loads of time in the process. Having looked at my (less than a year old) compass I'm not convinced it is levelling properly (the needle is doing a good impression of a see-saw) and it will need some investigation. Altogether it was a pretty terrible run!
