| Having to calm myself after discovering my credit card had been used to order The Dog Collection - all fifty two of them... I wonder who managed that little feat of ingenuity?!
Also having another rest day to see if I can get rid of this cough. Plan is to get the Pilates ball out later... |
 | Fitball 25:00 [1] | |

| Fitball workout - better doing this than nothing at all. Also tackled ironing for two hours - considered a light core activity but won't count this! |

| Still in agony from intervals... |
Wednesday Apr 2 |
 | Run (Terrain) 1:47:00 [3] | |
| shoes: Brooks GTS |
| Part 1: Run with my Dad at Mabie Forest - good to be back there again training with Dad. Stopped for some stretching at the top of the first hill and was sent off on an extra loop onto the 7Stanes bike route to check out the berms, whilst Dad went along at his steady pace. Think I tired him out but he put in a good sprint up the last hill to get past me... huh!
Part 2: Run with the Lady between 2-3 (Mum) - this time on the Conservation Trail at Mabie. Stopped for a rest to take in the view of Criffel (well ok it was a wee stop), continued on the rest of the way with a few extra loops and got back to the car too soon so we did a warm down to make the time up to the same as Part 1!

| My body is officially wrecked this week, so lots of stretching needed. |

 | Run intervals 22:30 [4] | |
| shoes: Brooks GTS |
| First outing at FVO intervals ever and I tried my best. Not very fast but I think I made a good target for the others to fly past when I started in front. It was a case of splish splash through the puddles on the footy pitch but not so sure that other shoes would have made any difference to my speed... |
 | Run warm up/down 20:00 [3] | |
| shoes: Brooks GTS |
| I was incredibly late for the session - got stuck with a colleague at work with a query when I should have been on my way to training, had to do a Wonderwoman change out of my work clothes in the car as well. Fortunately for me JonX was also late, otherwise I would have gone to the wrong pitches! Warm up run was at a cracking pace to order to make the beginning of the session - just made it!
Warm down was a less traumatic jog round part of the loch. |

| Day 2: Go Ape, Aberfoyle. Initially I was terrified as the route to the course was across a rope slide to the other side of the valley and was incredibly high off the ground. Of course, it was absolutely awesome! Once into the routine of clipping in and out of the ropes it was fun, hard work at times and required a bit of nerve and concentration. The hardest part for me was hauling myself up off the rope net but not sure my technique was up to much. I bailed out of the big drop rope net (Abii's scream was chilling) although the alternative escape route was pretty scary. I'm obviously not cut out to be spider woman - yet! Fantastic fun day out was had by all. Janine's cake after the tea shop stop finished the weekend off beautifully - watch out Ann Summers! |
