Run 1:03:52 [4]11 km (5:48 / km)
shoes: Brooks GTS
Run at Beecraigs in the sunshine and felt good. Maybe I'm not as burnt out as I thought as I was - only 90secs slower than two months ago on this run but more likely it was because I ventured into some undergrowth, which slowed me down somewhat. Felt a lot better than I did on Wednesday that's for sure. Also helped by my new sooperdooperbooberscooper! Now converted thanks to Elle's recommendation. Thank you Shock Absorber...

Wednesday Jul 2

Run 1:01:33 [4]
shoes: Brooks GTS
Just me n Janine, in a depleted FVO style posse, went for a post MTBO run with achey bits through B of A, Mine and Hermitage Woods. Not feeling too good at all. I am definitely suffering some sort of burn out and require a few restful weeks. Next up is Carnethy(?) and Crieff 10K - hoping to set a pb... we'll see.

Sunday Jun 29

Mountain Bike Orienteering race 1:52:00 [3]** 15.4 km (7:16 / km)
spiked:14/14c shoes: Specialized Bike Shoes
British MTBO Championships. Middle distance race. Mabie Forest - I know it so well but did it do me any good? No! It's very hard to read a map doing 40kph down a track or bumping up and down the bike routes with a wing and a prayer hoping to stay upright. Although I did feel a bit more confident on the rough bits after yesterday's practice, was far too tired going up the hills and there were many hills. I was lucky to make it back with only a few scrapes and no punctures, a few unfortunates came back with streaks of blood down their legs and others had multiple punctures, one guy had to wait to find someone with a pump!

Not sure if I'll be making this an annual event but it was worth having a go, I think I'll be sticking with foot O and mountain biking as a leisure pursuit for the time being.
