Orienteering 27:12 [2] **** 1.4 km (19:26 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw
Achlean South
Used only my compass as and O tool and got nowhere fast! This was ridiculous for me as it was so unatural and so slow as I got into some pickles in the brashings...
Orienteering 16:14 [2] **** 1.1 km (14:45 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw
Achlean North
More compass gaffs, drifted off to the right but within about 20m and in sight of the controls so perhaps a little improvement, still prefer the visualisation technique.
Orienteering 31:10 [3] 2.5 km (12:28 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw
Achlean Long Legs
More torture going on a bearing through the brashings but worth doing the exercise. Did 1-4 and 10-11.
Note
Tea shop stop at Loch Inch with yummy cakes and a wee rest - oops, what happened to the diet?
Orienteering 30:09 [3] 2.2 km (13:42 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw
Uath Lochans
Tool-free run through some much lovelier terrain - ahh bliss and more of a skoosh than I thought it would be. I got distracted on the last leg to #10 and went completely off course, should not ever do this - tut tut!
Orienteering 11:24 [3] **** 1.1 km (10:22 / km)
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw
Uath Lochans Sprint
My jippy tummy got steadily worse through the day and was pretty sore by the time I set off on this course so I didn't exactly feel like moving quickly through the terrain never mind sprinting. I don't think I was last though!

Run 38:38 [4]
shoes: Inov8 Mudclaw
Beecraigs tootle on a beautiful sunny morning. Headed for Cockleroy so did a warm up run first and half way up, I thought I would do it again... and again - three reps of Cockleroy and then a warm down run. Felt good and I didn't find too much mud.

Wednesday Sep 24

Run 1:06:21 [3] 9 km (7:22 / km)
shoes: Brooks GTS
Run from Braco with Elle, Roger, Jon, Brad and Mark, this was run at the girls pace for some reason... It was great not to be lagging behind for a change. Most enjoyable run with lots of variety of terrain, fence crossings and some lovely slippery mud to slide about on. Dawn and Roger treated us to a lovely dinner in their dining room with Jamie providing the evening's entertainment!

Monday Sep 22

Pilates 1:00:00 [1]
Ooh my legs hurt today.

Sunday Sep 21

Event: Linlithgow 10K

Run race 55:04 [5] 10 km (5:30 / km) vdot: 35.7
shoes: Brooks GTS
Linlithgow 10K

This hurt a bit! I tried hard but couldn't make my legs go any faster, it was hot and hillier than Stirling. Only a minute slower than last week but I'm still disappointed. I really really want to run faster than this and be part of the chasing group, not the chaffing group... for this I would need to shed 3kgs at least! Challenge is on and I now have less than ten weeks to do it, yikes!
