Saturday Jun 15

orienteering 50:00 [5] 7.5 km (6:40 / km) +205m 5:52 / km
spiked:17/20c
Ran an Sport-Ident course at Letchworth. Very fast course, fairly easy navigation, was a little off because of scale on the first and third controls, but figured it out after that. Felt good to run, and to know the whole time where I was. Unfortunately, I had some issues with the hand copied map, basically I scribble, and decided to run from 9-11 skipping 10. Everything else was gorgeous, even the thunderstorm, I have all the splits except 9-10, and 10-11, if at all interested.

Friday Jun 14

orienteering 3:00:00 [2] 11 km (16:22 / km)
Rogaine control setting once more ( maybe last time) Nicest woods, but also rainiest day. Felt tired, though I did well enough physically. I walked right past a couple of the streamers because I wasn't paying enough attention. Nice trail run back to van.
biking 30:00 [3] 8.0 mi (3:45 / mi)
biking as transportation. Biking in the rain can be very fun, but the clingy feeling of wet clothes afterwards is gross.

Thursday Jun 13

orienteering 3:10:00 [2] 13 km (14:37 / km)
spiked:9/10c
rogaine setting. thicker area, much more tired from accumulated trainings. Set two bunches, first with Zan second alone, today was our "easy day" so didn't push too hard. Had a nice 15 min run back to the car though. Navigation was hot today, spiked em mostly.
biking 30:00 [3] 8.0 mi (3:45 / mi)
biking as a mode of transport, back to my house. Legs weren't all that happy, dropped to low gears that I rarely use.

Wednesday Jun 12

orienteering 28:18 [5] 5.66 km (5:00 / km)
Fast Park-O style race that was set for Empire State Senior Games. Three loops. One error, 2 extra mins of trying to find the end of a swamp which had moved due to excessive rainage. It was really fun and very flat, and lots of pedestrians to run over.
orienteering 51:00 [4] 8 km (6:22 / km)
Cool down loop with Zan, and then we set out to pick up all the controls by doing all the loops memory-O style. We were really fast on the second loop too even picking up bags we were 38 mins. We were really fast and sexy and all that.

Tuesday Jun 11

orienteering 3:15:00 [2] 13.5 km (14:27 / km)
Setting rogaine controls, ten more today, got myself lost on two of them, and it was uber hilly and thick in places. Zan ended up waiting a long time for me to finish.

Monday Jun 10

orienteering 3:00:00 [2] 10 km (18:00 / km)
Hanging some controls for CNYO rogaine, with Zan. If you want a master map of the event, I can be bribed. It was pretty steep, but pretty and it's gonna be a sweet rogaine.
track 15:00 [5] 2.5 mi (6:00 / mi)
5x800s Started faster than pace, but thought it was okay. Very tired by end.
2:40/2:43/2:35/2:50/2:48

Sunday Jun 9

road run 20:00 [3] 4 km (5:00 / km)
Running to start/from finish with Zan.
The groud quaked beneath our feet as our presence was very intimidating.
orienteering 52:34 [5] 6.7 km (7:51 / km)
Pretty fast course for me. Old Green course at highland forest. Made 3 tiny errors, and had one very classic face plant into a huge mud puddle. Kinda wet in places on the map.
