| road run 3:00:12 [3] | ||
| peer pressure training. Running for 3 hours is a mental feat more than a physical one. Very glad for the company and the route we ran was very pretty. I was wearing the right amount of clothing at the beginning but by the end I was quite cold, I kept kneeling down to tie my shoes, clumsily, with cold fingers and then having the shoe untie a few minutes later.
Not sure that I would have held out so well if I had already done a hard bike ride earlier in the morning, a la Hilly. my post run recovery was mocked but I think it treated me well. an hour long nap followed by yummy dinner chez Luis.... Showering is secondary to sleep, everyone knows this.

| road run 48:25 [3] 6.0 mi (8:04 / mi) | ||
| Three good morning runs in a row would have been pushing it a bit I think. This morning I felt gross, like being on the verge of getting sick. finally rolled out of bed at 8:13, so didn't hit the road until closer to 8:25. Much warmer, but feeling blah so a bit slower too. As the run went on I did feel better and better though. I got most of the way through composing this Haiku after settling upon the topic in Newton Center:
my running day-dream each car with no turn signal I drop in the Res. Not as good as the classy work that Brooke and Cristina came up with, but it is legitimately harder to focus while running... maybe my next poem can be less hateful and more ode-like ala acjospe where I got the idea in the first place.

| road run 44:45 [3] 6.0 mi (7:27 / mi) | ||
| Another bracing run to work. this time with ipod and another layer on top. I was planning on composing a haiku while I ran today.... but with all the extra stimuli of an ipod and my shirt constantly riding up and needing to be yanked back down I just plain forgot. I'll try to remember tomorrow.
By the way, I'm getting quicker and quicker on this set route. It used to take me 52 minutes to run..... apparently training works. good to know.

| road run 45:05 [3] 6.0 mi (7:30 / mi) | ||
| A little brisk today. I might have underestimated this time on clothing. I wore shorts, gloves and a hat with a long sleeve shirt and it was chilly the whole time, but never unpleasant. I tried to push a little bit harder during the middle section coming down the hill by BC and around the Reservoir but I was rewarded for this effort with a stitch in my side from having the backpack cinched too tightly. | ||

| orienteering 1:00:00 [3] | ||
| running around little blue hills with the samster. looking at possible sprint (December 1st, before the Traverse) control locations. Was really impressed with the Northern area of the map, but don't think I can get it to work logistically. There is an unpleasant section of forest that effectively cuts off access to the fun section of forest. will need to decide how much crap people are willing to fight through to get to the good woods :) | ||
