Note

Some of you may laugh, but I think a three day mini-taper is exactly the right preparation for the Ratlum Night course tomorrow. I need to look and feel my best for the guest stars of the evening. I think it might take a bit more than rest and a pretty face to beat the Swedes though. If only I owned a machete, that would be the advantage I'd need at Ratlum.

Road run 32:00 [3] 4.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

Better preparation meant today's run to work was more comfortable. Also it was a warmer day. There is a fine line in running though, and I don't like wearing so many layers that I start to sweat. There must be a way to protect the most sensitive bits without overheating the whole. I guess the answer is probably fleece lined underwear.

Road run 32:00 [3] 4.0 mi (8:00 / mi)

Running into work today. good lord was it cold! not a good day to skip the extra protective layer of shorts over my tights. Still, whenever I feel cold outside I think about General Washington's troops camped out at Valley Forge without shoes, in the snow..... then I try not to complain outloud as much.
