biking 17:30 [3] 4.0 mi (4:23 / mi)
bike to work. Somehow I never seem to leave on time. I got caught up washing the dishes (still left from when Ed and Alex came over on Friday) and so I was 5 minutes late out the door. Luckily it really doesn't matter when I arrive.
biking 38:00 [3] 9.0 mi (4:13 / mi)
I was worried that I would be late, so I was pushing hard to get up to Pine Banks for the CSU training tonight. I am very proud that I didn't get lost as I pedaled my way through cambridge and up to Medford.
orienteering 35:00 [3]
A fun night sprint set by Ian as CSU training this week. I had brought my tiny LED light and discovered that it was not bright enough for the task. The woods were too rife with briars and saplings and the footing wasn't ideal either. I only did one of the courses and then came in from the wilds. On the plus side I found the most gorgeous view of Boston I've seen so far. There was ideal purple light pollutioned skies and a skyline of Boston that was amazing, right at control number 9 on the course. post card worthy.
After the orienteering I didn't stay long to chat, I hopped the bike and tried to get home again quickly, since I hadn't seen Sam since Friday. she was awake for a few minutes after I got home, but already in bed and curled up with a book.
biking 30:00 [3]
don't really feel like tracking down my garmin right now to figure out how long this was or how long it really took. I biked to the orange line, and took the subway to mass Ave stop ( right at Northeastern) then I biked back along huntington and Rt 9 to home. It was a nice ride, but it probably would have been just as fast to bike straight back from Medford... I was trying to save time.
