ahr:139 max:158 shoes: Jalas Black FLX

My inner voice was not being kind.

Tuesday Jun 24

Training Jog/Walk 55:00 [2]
shoes: Saucony Approach
Easy jog around Witherslack hanging controls for the lanequest cycle event. Now I'm off to the pub for 6 hours whilst I time people out and in on their cycle O!

Monday Jun 23

Club Run 50:48 [3]
ahr:150 max:173 shoes: Saucony Approach
Tristram's playing fields Hincaster canal loop.
Another club run with Judy. Quite a few hills and going ok. Judy twisted her knee/hip in a divot so slowed down towards the end until I left her and did a final speed up! Shouldn't have eaten my dinner before - heavy! Fizzy legs from shorts + nettles.

Sunday Jun 22

Race race 52:27 [4] * 6 km (8:44 / km)
ahr:153 max:166 shoes: Saucony Trigon Response
Stockport Centre Race W Open M/W 18 M45+ course 2b
Didn't find this street race as interesting as some of the others (Edinburgh and Stirling). mh commented that we'd never driven so far for just 1 event! Not sure I made quite enough effort? Also often chose the easy obvious route instead of any narrow alleyways. Good weather and kids had a great time. mh took 41:36 for same course, so I was 126% of his time - I normally allow myself 150% for proper orienteering courses.

Saturday Jun 21

No Run
(rest day)
Ceilidh
7-10 James's orchestra gang
More sweat than any run I can remember.
Must have had something to do with 100% humidity, warm and constant rain.

Friday Jun 20

Training Run 1:18:05 [3]
ahr:143 max:166 shoes: Saucony Approach
Sedgewick Levens & old Canal
Dropped Stewie off at a Home Educator's group! Had a quick chat with the sandal wearing hippies and then got ready to run. Not so familiar with this area so occaisionally had to reach for the map to check footpaths etc. Pushed quite hard (for me). I'm going to research HR zones for fat B******* to see if I'm doing it right (I generally can 'feel' the level of effort).

Thursday Jun 19

No Run
(rest day)
sulking - need to finish lanequest planning

Wednesday Jun 18

No Run
(rest day) shoes: Saucony Approach
Bowkerstead Farm Grizedale
Organized O event, so spent 7 hours at Grizedale. Extremely soggy from rain not sweat! Got back to meet kids at 9:15, they were gleefully glued to bbc iplayer - top gear & little britian plus live text from the European Championship.

Tuesday Jun 17

Training Jog/Walk 1:04:01 [2]
ahr:137 max:170 shoes: Saucony Approach
Cartmel Woods & Race Course
Run around Cartmel Woods whilst Stewie at Cubs. Taking it easy and had some aberrant HR readings - never 170! probably more like 135/160

Monday Jun 16

Club Run 49:05 [3]
ahr:149 max:169 shoes: Saucony Approach
Triatram's Playing Fields loop
Shortish run wtih 2 women at Dallam Running Club. Rarely go out for less than 1 hour but am used to plodding along. Perhaps Mondays will see me picking my pace up. Problem with back trying to run fast down hill. No problem up hill, just dig in!

Saturday Jun 7

Event: Lowe Alpine Mountain Marathon
