Training Jog/Walk 1:20:00 [3] 8.5 km (9:25 / km) +200m 8:25 / km
shoes: Asics Gel Mesa Trail
Doing my bit for the environment and ran to the Offley's house to get a cheque counter signed. Went via top road, down through woods, along flat and back up tow top road. Ran well and even seemed to have some speed (for me) on the flat.

Club Run 1:24:01 [4]
ahr:143 max:172 shoes: Saucony Approach
Both sides of Leven Deer Park from Dallam Running Club's meeting place. Means I run very few roads, but plenty of paths across fields. Actually took less than 011500 as I 'warmed up' (messed around) on the athletics track waiting for more people to arrive before I left Stewie. He's turning into a lean, mean running machine - wish the same could be said for me!

Tuesday Jul 8

Training Jog/Walk 1:05:00 [3]
ahr:138 max:159 shoes: inov8 mudroc 290
Run round Old Park Wood down on the mud flats and limestone. Felt Monday's effort when going up hill. Otherwise peaceful and dry! Stewie at Cark Airfield learning to sky dive on a 'body' skateboard doing formations!

Sunday Jul 6

Speed & Hill work intervals 1:00:43 [4]
ahr:134 max:164 shoes: inov8 mudroc 290
first attempt at intervals did 10 (30s +120s rec). Have decided I'll need to alter what I'm doing (bit of experimentation) as my heart rate never got that high although I was gasping at end of each interval. Next set, intervals will be longer and/or recovery less. Went to Birkrigg Common and Sea Woods. warm up & cool down in sea woods and nice loop for intervals on Birkrigg. 3 sides of a triangle short uphill interval and steady descent zig-zagging back. Managed to scare the hell out of 3 people who I ran past, needed too much oxygen to warn them & surprise, surprise I'm quiet even with the breathing! Find it hard to increase my breathing rate. Felt knackered at end.
