| I have to define this as a stumble in the dark after my Silva headlight failed, even though i had charged the battery overnight. Dixie set a great course & the FVO crowd set a pace too fast for me. Thank god there was a long course (I did the short) otherwise Hazel & Lard would never have scooped me up to get me to the finish. Thanks. |
 | Training Run warm up/down 30:00 [3] | |
| (injured) shoes: inov8 mudroc 290 |
| Dixie's idea of a warm-up to the start doesn't meet mine! However, made it up the steady climb and got to the start. |

After my recent efforts at jogging, thought I should enter light green. Could have been more accurate but wandered vaguely as per usual. Ankle still a problem, especially on tracks (split from 13-finish was slow!)
Good to do a bit of navigating, haven't been out in a forest for a while, seem to just be doing street or city O's. |

| Had thought I'd try a REALLY slow jog up Troutbeck Valley. After not very long realized that the pain was only getting worse and had to resort to a fast walk. Since I was out in a T-shirt, went as fast as possible in the rain shower to try and keep from getting hypothermia. Thoroughly fed-up as it is nearly 4 weeks since I sprained my ankle and I had hoped gentle jogging would be possible - NOT. The only consolations were the lovely views and a rainbow. |

| Event: City of London Orienteering Race |
 | Race race 45:23 [3] 4.5 km (10:05 / km) | |
| (injured) shoes: Saucony Trigon Response |
| slow - hobbled due to ankle plus I made 2 errors - small one with control 7 being hidden behind a bench and big one in the Barbican controls 14 - 15, because I dropped down a level and shouldn't have. Foot has been extremely painful since; hindering touring London somewhat. Would have liked to have run women's open as it took you to some of the famous sights (St Paul's & the Gherkin), but W40+ proved too much as it was.
No idea about heart rate - forgot to press start for HRM! |

 | Swimming 1:00:00 [4] | |

| First time swimming since CLS last year - crock shoulder and ankle. Good for ankle but shoulder was troublesome - 5 months since I damaged it! Must have done plenty of lengths, but lost count. More of an interval session as I didn't swim continuously but rested and/or recovered with slower lengths. |
