Training Jog/Walk 45:00 [2]
(injured)
Had thought I'd try a REALLY slow jog up Troutbeck Valley. After not very long realized that the pain was only getting worse and had to resort to a fast walk. Since I was out in a T-shirt, went as fast as possible in the rain shower to try and keep from getting hypothermia. Thoroughly fed-up as it is nearly 4 weeks since I sprained my ankle and I had hoped gentle jogging would be possible - NOT. The only consolations were the lovely views and a rainbow.

London Zoo for the kids and then back to Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square etc - preparing for Olympic celebration on Thursday. Got home just after 11:30pm. Couldn't have asked for better weather.

Sunday Oct 12

Note
(injured)
Trip to Greenwich by bus and back by boat as the sun was shining. Hampstead Heath was out due to ankle and Greenwich won on culture. Really enjoyed cruise back to Westminster and then walk to Covent Garden. - Why do my feet always hurt like hell when I return to London!

Saturday Oct 11

Event: City of London Orienteering Race

Race race 45:23 [3] 4.5 km (10:05 / km)
(injured) shoes: Saucony Trigon Response
slow - hobbled due to ankle plus I made 2 errors - small one with control 7 being hidden behind a bench and big one in the Barbican controls 14 - 15, because I dropped down a level and shouldn't have. Foot has been extremely painful since; hindering touring London somewhat. Would have liked to have run women's open as it took you to some of the famous sights (St Paul's & the Gherkin), but W40+ proved too much as it was.
No idea about heart rate - forgot to press start for HRM!
