Nolde Park - Local event Red course on a very hot and humid day. I was deliberate, determined to avoid any large errors. Had a clean run except for #1 which I overran slightly, losing about 30 secs. As I was running down the ride towards #9, I ducked under a partially fallen tree and scraped the top of my head badly. Received a nice little head wound which was bleeding rather profusely but didn't bother me. It made for an impressive finish though as I came in all bloodied up - looked like something out of a slasher movie.

I thought the course was really excellent - lots of route choice, very physical, and only one significant green slog (#5 to #6).

Alapocas Park / Rockford Park - Started in Alapocas then crossed the Brandywine and did the Rockford Park & Tower Hill loop. Recrossed the creek and finished in Alapocas. Was really minding the heat today - it made the hills extra tough.

Woodlawn Preserve / Brandywine Creek SP - TNT Delaware edition with Sandy & Anne. Started out in the Preserve and worked our way back through Brandywine Creek SP. And the best part was getting my running shoes back! (courtesy of Sandy - I left them at Dasha & Clem's last week).
