Orienteering race 54:01 [4] *** 5.3 km (10:12 / km) +250m 8:15 / km
spiked:16/16c shoes: Icebug Spikes

Mountain Lakes Park - Green X course. Pretty clean run. A little hesitant to #1 and then my route to #9 went further right than necessary. Also walked too many of the hills. This was orienteering the way it should be - the course rewarded speed and clean navigation. It was nirvana out there. So much more fun than bashing through a bunch of green crap

Note

Found an incredible little vegan restaurant down in Ridgefield, CT - Food Evolution. Really great food and service!

Ward Pound Ridge Reservation - Model event Green course. Some walking and light running. Beautiful open woods. I think the last time I was here was way back in the1980's.

Good games tonight. We won most of them handily including 15-0 the first game. I was firing on all cylinders.

Trail Run 1:41:17 [3] 11.0 mi (9:12 / mi)
shoes: Asics GT-2000

Fair Hill NRMA, MD - Clear, crisp, wind racing out of the west - what choice, really, but to go long. And no better place than Fair Hill in the Fall. Started at the S. Appleton lot, headed north across the overpass up to N. Appleton lot, down to the Covered, Black and Low Water bridges, up to the old school, over to the fairgrounds, through the sawmill fields, final creek crossing and then climb to the finish. Awesome run.
