Mountain Lakes Park - Green X course. Day 2 in this wonderful terrain. I was almost clean - just a small error (maybe 30 sec) on #3 where I was a bit low on first approach. The main limitation was my conditioning. Just didn't feel like I had a lot of energy or speed. Another fine course - this one offered more route choice than Day 1. I particularly liked the 9-10 leg - lots of options there. I took the right hand road to the ruined stone wall and then paced and compassed to the control.

The was an exceptional A-event. I hope it won't be too long before we can return to these special woods. Thanks to HVO, WCOC and all involved.

Mountain Lakes Park - Green X course. Pretty clean run. A little hesitant to #1 and then my route to #9 went further right than necessary. Also walked too many of the hills. This was orienteering the way it should be - the course rewarded speed and clean navigation. It was nirvana out there. So much more fun than bashing through a bunch of green crap

Found an incredible little vegan restaurant down in Ridgefield, CT - Food Evolution. Really great food and service!

Ward Pound Ridge Reservation - Model event Green course. Some walking and light running. Beautiful open woods. I think the last time I was here was way back in the1980's.

Good games tonight. We won most of them handily including 15-0 the first game. I was firing on all cylinders.
