Chilly Cheeks 11K Trail Race - 2nd time running this. Last time was in 2017 with some snow on the ground. No snow today, not even much mud after the torrential rain yesterday. Conditions were near ideal for late January - partly cloudy, around 40 degs.

I wasn't sure I was going to be able to run - I tweaked something in my left knee around my kneecap stretching after Wednesday evening's run. I took an ibuprofen last night, another one this morning and wore a compression sleeve around my knee. Warming up before the start things didn't feel so bad so I figured I would give it a go. The knee held up ok but I never pushed hard and walked most of the hills (i.e. a lot).

Saw the Ahlswedes and Chris Hand (who was dressed as the Hamburgler for the race). I'm glad I was able to do this.
