Nicole was running the second half of UTA so I joined her for Katoomba to Wentworth falls. Easy pace but I pushed up the stairs, trying to predominantly use my right leg.

Hit the wall in the last few km, and hamstring started to complain, so walked final bit to Wentworth falls. Little breakfast or nutrition on the run to blame there.

Fun jaunt around Rangitoto, in pretty warm conditions. Headed along the main road to the causeway to Mototapu then back along the rocky, lavafield covering coastal track which was hard going on feet and ankles, then a wee rest to let the crowds descending for the ferry get out of the way before an effort up to the summit (would have been closer to the CR if I'd known the segment carries on around the summit further than the lookout I went to).

Then a more sedate trip around the crater & through the lava caves, before heading to the west side of the island for a swim, and back to the ferry. Pretty stuffed by the end.
