Orienteering race (Sprint) 14:50 [5]2.3 km (6:27 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Runners
Canberra Uni Sprint. Great on all but one control, lost about a minute and twenty seconds because I became totally bamboozled by a round building which was marked as square, and failed to see the wall marked in front of it. Rest of the course was fine.
Orienteering race (Sprint Relay Loop 1) 9:30 [5]1.5 km (6:20 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Runners
Good run. Bit of a wobble on the first control and went for a skid in gravel on number 12 but thats about all.
Orienteering race (Sprint Relay Loop 2) 9:19 [5]1.5 km (6:13 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Runners
Great one this time.
Jogging warm up/down 10:00 [3]1.7 km (5:53 / km)
shoes: Silva O-Shoes

Thursday Mar 27

Orienteering intervals 35:00 [4]4.5 km (7:47 / km)
shoes: Silva O-Shoes
Time and distance estimations...anyway the idea was we ran loops with a partner, and pushed each other to run as fast as we could. I went with Rachel. Had a small stuff up on the first loop, then had a couple on the second loop and Rachel got away. Third loop was map memory, did pretty well on that one.

Wednesday Mar 26

Jogging warm up/down 10:00 [3]1.7 km (5:53 / km)
shoes: Asics Gel Runners
Running race (Time Trial) 11:30 [5]3 km (3:50 / km) vdot: 50.2
shoes: Asics Gel Runners
Good time, PB. Felt pretty relaxed at the start so maybe I can even improve my time further.
Orienteering 50:00 [3]5 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Silva O-Shoes
Night-O! Simulating low-vis in Sweden. I had an awful run, I think I was just tired and I got confused by tracks. Interesting experience anyway.

Monday Mar 24

Jogging warm up/down 10:00 [3]1.7 km (5:53 / km)
shoes: Silva O-Shoes
Orienteering race (Chasing Start) 45:40 [5]4.1 km (11:08 / km)
shoes: Silva O-Shoes
Everything came unstuck at the spectator control. Hit one and two straight on, then decided to go around to the right of the hill to number three. Headed up from the fence at a patch of bare rock and then completely lost my head. Instead of relocating I ran around in circles for a while, then finally decided to head out to number 4 on the fence crossing and head back in from there.
Oh well, the rest of the course was really good, it's just annoying to know that the extra 7 minutes could have put me in much better stead.

Sunday Mar 23

Jogging warm up/down 10:00 [3]1.7 km (5:53 / km)
shoes: Silva O-Shoes
Orienteering race (Long Distance) 1:13:11 [4]6.5 km (11:16 / km)
shoes: Silva O-Shoes
Not a very good run. Steady to number one, but on the way to number two managed to convince myself I'd reached a saddle which I hadn't, then contoured around a knoll too early. Don't know how I worked it out, but I did.
Number three was another mistake, followed down a gully without an exit point and ended up confused and far too low.
Had a few fast legs then except I ran hard on our long leg to 5 but managed to go up the wrong watercourse near the control so lost a bit of time.
Changed my plan at number 8 and ended up very confused, kept trying to make things match. Headed out to the top of the knoll to work it out. Found it eventually!
Rest of the run was alright.
