9 AM

Cycling 2:49:46 [3] 64.93 km (22.9 kph) +1108m

Ride with the UOSCC crew. Out the A57 and Rod Side, down to Ladybower, across to Hathersage, climbed Abney, over to Eyam, down to Calver and home via Froggatt and Roper Hill.

Not exactly continuous, besides the cafe stop we had 3 flats and a lot of stops just to get the group back together - lots of different abilities. I was mid-rear pack but hopefully not holding up the fast boys too much.

Swimming 1:03:00 [3] 3.0 km (21:00 / km)

Goodwin swim. I keep thinking if I can just get some consistency in my swimming, I'll improve. But it's yet to be seen.
6 PM

Jogging 36:38 [3] 6.54 km (5:36 / km) +92m 5:14 / km

Not sure what was going on with my Garmin, it dropped out for some of this run.

I felt really awful - don't know if it was because I'm not used to running after swimming (possible, it's been a while). It could also be because I decided to try out the Hokas the first time on a "serious" run - bad move, I got shooting pains in my quads and arches! I think they're not for me, I'll stick to wearing them in the shop.

Note
(rest day)

Spent 4 hours putting out tapes for my event in December. Decided to walk for some stupid reason, it took way longer than it would have if I'd run. It was very cold on the moor and was dark by the time I decided to call it quits, had plenty of time to train when I got home but was cold, tired and generally unenthused.

Cycling 1:25:33 [3] 36.71 km (25.7 kph)
ahr:141 max:170

Kyhil and I completely wussed out because it was dark and cold, and did the session on the indoor turbo. Sun came up like 20min later and it was a beautiful morning!

Did two of the Sufferfest sessions - Getting Away With It and Half Is Easy. The first one was quite gentle, but the second one was brutal!
6 PM

Jogging warm up/down 7:00 [3] 1.2 km (5:50 / km)

Orienteering 48:41 [3] 6.14 km (7:56 / km) +190m 6:52 / km

Night orienteering at Redmires. Didn't navigate very well - stuffed up the depression both times (I think I've only got it cleanly once in the 4 or 5 times I've been out there). Big errors on 6 and 10. Just casual pace, probably needed to be less casual with the planning.

10 x 400 off 1 min. Planned 12 but last one was 84 (was holding 80 or under for the first 7) so called it quits.

Running intervals 4:47 [4] 1.2 km (3:59 / km)
ahr:153 max:169

3 x 400 pacing Mary.

Jogging warm up/down 23:50 [3] 3.94 km (6:03 / km) +47m 5:43 / km

Cycling 1:15:00 [4] 24.9 km (19.9 kph) +647m

Hill Reps - 4 x Rails Rd and 1 x Lodge Lane. It'a been a very long time! Was going to ride on the trainer because it was only 2C but it was too sunny and I couldn't resist.
5 PM

Jogging 39:08 [1] 5.46 km (7:10 / km) +53m 6:50 / km

Social run group. Less walking this week, still slow though.

Jogging 1:21:56 [1] 10.82 km (7:34 / km) +198m 6:56 / km

Walk / jog / nice weather adventure along Stanage and Burbage edges with Kyhil. I was going to go and try and do 25km of the 9 Edges route but I slept in a bit late and didn't really feel like running alone.
