Cycling 1:24:12 [3] 25.35 km (18.1 kph) +361m

Day 1 of our cycle tour!

Started the day by cycling (in thongs and shorts) across Paris in insane traffic to get to Gare Montparnasse for our train to Bordeaux. Seriously, there are no laws! It's sort of like...whoever gets there first has right of way.

From Bordeaux we had planned to get a train to Dax, but discovered we could get a train to Pau (only buses had shown in a search) which would get us much closer to where we wanted to be, so we exchanged our tickets.

Arrived in Pau at 5.30 and after faffing for a bit called the campsite in Louvie-Juzon who said we could only check in before 8. After a visit to the supermarket it was 6.15 and Google showed it would take us 1hr55 to ride, so we hammered it without even changing into bike clothes or shoes.

Arrived at the campsite at 7.50, bathed in sweat (it was 35 degrees). Turns out riding with an extra 10kg or so in panniers is pretty hard! Despite being so slow I wouldn't have minded going slower, particularly up the switchback climb to the campground!

Last run group ever :'(. Via Norfolk Park, no slow or fast group today, we all just went together. Struggled a bit off maybe 30mins sleep in total last night. Rained a lot. I will miss this - it was slow and tedious at times but great people!

Walking 30:00 [1]

Walked for like 3 hours but very easy so just cheekily posting it as training.

Up to Slåttdalen and then Slåttdalsberget from the South Entrance. Unfortunately it pissed rain and also was extremely foggy, so the views were non-existent, but it was still a pretty awesome walk and not cold. Extremely rocky and rooty so good ankle training maybe...
