On the Richmond Boulie, 4 laps with half hard, half easy. Concentrating on cadence and technique.

Note

Saw the physio at lunch. Not the Achilles (phew, I guess) but rather the bottom bit of the soleus is aggravated due to nerve tension. Pretty much: I have weak core and glutes and I sit down too much. No running until at least the weekend, and no running until pain free while walking and cycling.

Uh oh. I think I have injured my achilles. Stopped every few hundred metres during this run to stretch and it would relieve the pain a bit but then it would come back again. Pity because I felt pretty good otherwise.

In to work. Achilles hurting while cycling as well, not as bad as running but pretty bad particularly when standing in the pedals from lights / up hills

One lap of the boulie grinding the hills. This was OK on the achilles because I was seated the whole time, but still sore on the way to and from every time I stood. Cut it short even though I felt OK, just feeling a bit worried / unhappy about the injury.

Vic Relay Champs - 1st leg on course 1.
Pretty messy effort, fairly big mistake in the easy open stuff and then a couple more in the green at the end, nothing massive. Good fun, running around near Tash, Tim, Toph, Simon and Mason on different splits, we all finished very close together.

Did an extended warm down to make it a longer day. Felt rubbish! When I turned around at halfway I was doing OK but got 3min into the return journey and badly regretted going so long. Left hip a bit sore, left achilles pretty sore and generally wrecked. Achilles really bothering me now.
