12 PM

Cycling 1:58:19 [3] 32.68 km (16.6 kph) +104m
ahr:139 max:162

Another hit out on the local trails. Chose the MTB this week rather than the CX which was easier, faster and more fun. Enjoyed it a lot except for a loop in the middle which was mostly unrideably muddy.

Jogging 33:44 [3] 6.08 km (5:33 / km) +390m 4:12 / km
ahr:139 max:160

GPS didn't load properly until 20min I hope I was actually faster than this.

Strength & Conditioning 28:15 [2]

Sufferfest Strength - Intermediate 2B

Thursday Oct 8 #

7 AM

Jogging 25:00 [3] 4.84 km (5:10 / km) +29m 5:01 / km

Pre-brekky. HR thinks I was still asleep for first 10min.
6 PM

Jogging 44:54 [3] 8.97 km (5:00 / km) +111m 4:43 / km
ahr:147 max:173

Easy but pushing the hills. Had to go in search of some hills, but this was good as I got to explore a few more nice paths in the area.

Wednesday Oct 7 #

12 PM

Jogging 31:00 [3] 5.95 km (5:13 / km) +41m 5:02 / km
ahr:132 max:163

Easy one, South this time, some single track exploring
7 PM

Cycling 59:19 [4] 26.09 km (26.4 kph)
ahr:153 max:176

Sufferfest - The Way Out (miserable weather!). This is a "base" session and I didn't remember it being that hard but I did suffer today! There's a lot of stupid low cadence high power stuff.

Tuesday Oct 6 #

6 PM

Jogging 48:17 [3] 9.44 km (5:07 / km) +92m 4:53 / km
ahr:141 max:166

Easy with 4 x 200 stride 500 easy in the middle. First 200 was accidentally very downhill and the third was a bit rough / offroad but it was just to stride the legs out. Bit of a change of plan, having another easier week (not unhappy about this as still surprisingly tired from the move).

Had a bit of an explore. Found potentially a good hill-rep hill (from the Main Yarra Trail up onto Plenty River Trail) and a few public loos (very important). I love it here already.

Strength & Conditioning 45:15 [3]

Sufferfest strength - Intermediate 6A. Guess the next progression will be to buy some weights?
7 PM

Cycling 59:11 [3] 26.8 km (27.2 kph)
ahr:148 max:166

Sufferfest - Defender. Remembered this being really hard, but today it felt so easy that I bumped up the intensity a bit. Would like to think it's because my FTP is improving, but probably just rested from not much training last week.

Sunday Oct 4 #

11 AM

Cycling 1:41:24 [4] 24.76 km (14.7 kph) +121m

Exploring our new area! Good fun finding all the myriad single tracks along Banyule flats next to the Yarra (on gravel / CX bike). Very muddy and had to walk quite a lot of bits. Just a pootle, nothing hard. Yesterday ended up being pretty stressful / busy in the end, unpacking and then getting the last load from the old place (which I thought was a handful but ended up being a carload) which took ages.
