Saturday Oct 17 #

12 PM

Cycling 2:00:12 [3] 49.09 km (24.5 kph) +795m
ahr:144 max:168

Did two loops - first one E out Banyule Rd then loop around to the S, second E out Banyule again but looping around to the N. Lovely but v hilly, all short and sharp (going to become a Classics rider)

Friday Oct 16 #

7 AM

Jogging 35:59 [3] 6.81 km (5:17 / km) +77m 5:00 / km

Lovely morning.
5 PM

Strength & Conditioning 47:17 [3]

Sufferfest Strength - Intermediate 6B. This was real hard today!

Thursday Oct 15 #

7 AM

Jogging 25:00 [3] 4.45 km (5:37 / km) +34m 5:25 / km
max:155

Slept poorly, felt rough. Was warm, also. HR strap is failing to pick up HR for first 10min of most activities...
5 PM

Jogging warm up/down 16:29 [3] 3.31 km (4:59 / km) +9m 4:55 / km

Running intervals 12:58 [5] 2.65 km (4:54 / km) +175m 3:41 / km
ahr:170 max:179

5 x new Hills. On the bottom part of the Plenty River Trail. Longer and steeper than the old one. Bottom part of the hill a real steep calf burner then last 2/3 more gradual on gravel. Not sure it it was good or bad, haven't got a benchmark yet. HR was a bit sluggish and slow to rise, and slowed down a lot from 1 to 5 (2.29 to 2.40).

Jogging warm up/down 32:21 [3] 6.32 km (5:07 / km) +32m 5:00 / km

Jog down recoveries (around 2.40) and warm down.

Wednesday Oct 14 #

12 PM

Jogging 59:56 [3] 11.57 km (5:11 / km) +125m 4:55 / km
ahr:143 max:163

Another cracking run. Along the Main Yarra Trail then went off it to the North on the single tracks but came back onto Plenty River trail at the top of the hill at the tower. Great views! Excellent weather again, also - though still not adapted to the heat.
6 PM

Cycling 59:41 [2] 16.63 km (16.7 kph) +163m
ahr:128 max:159

On the MTB again, exploring the trails to the North this time. They were a bit tricky - or at least for me, who has 0 confidence on the MTB right now. This was fun but not that good aerobically...

Tuesday Oct 13 #

7 AM

Jogging 24:17 [3] 4.44 km (5:28 / km) +34m 5:16 / km
ahr:136 max:155

On trails mostly. Got rained on.
6 PM

Jogging warm up/down 16:21 [3] 3.35 km (4:53 / km) +9m 4:49 / km

Running intervals 8:00 [5] 2.42 km (3:18 / km)
ahr:175 max:181

3 x 1min / 45s, 5 x 1min / 1min. Felt OK, a little slower than last time I think? Found a good flat bit to do these near A J Burkitt Oval (home of the Banyule Bears)

Jogging warm up/down 30:35 [3] 5.8 km (5:16 / km) +32m 5:08 / km

Recoveries and warm down.

Monday Oct 12 #

12 PM

Strength & Conditioning 45:15 [3]

Sufferfest strength - Intermediate 6A.
6 PM

Cycling 1:11:25 [3] 29.01 km (24.4 kph) +419m
ahr:137 max:163

Exploring in our allowed radius. Half of this was good, half was ok but mostly just suburban roads. Mostly avoided the busy bits so that was good. Found some potential nearby session locations. Very hilly, some quite brutal bits but all short climbs.

Sunday Oct 11 #

12 PM

Jogging 1:18:20 [3] 15.01 km (5:13 / km) +224m 4:51 / km
ahr:149 max:169

This was awesome!! Went out NE from home on the Yarra Trails, then turned off onto Plenty River Trail and found a heap of awesome single track. Did get slightly lost a few times and ran on Banyule Rd for a bit more than I'd like (bendy and very little shoulder) but it still rocked. Got to the absolute edge of the 5km radius...
