A bit of bonus / junk training...but it was lots of fun! Took advantage of the public holiday and went out on the MTB on the single trails along the Yarra, through Westerfolds and then to Candlebark park to explore all the sick trails there! So good, so many loopy trails / berms in that park, not really hard at all but flowy and fun. Lacking confidence but hopefully some more of this will help me improve!

New shoe day! Pretty chill recovery, to the South sticking to the single trails where possible. Not hilly or technical but enjoying how all the twists and turns / obstacles / puddles / slight rises make you constantly accelerate and decelerate, change cadence and shift your balance.

4 x 1min / 45s, 5 x 1min / 1min. A fair bit poorer than last week, was feeling a bit off. Doms from yesterday (including a weirdly numb spot on my outside right glute) and general fatigue I think partly from not getting enough sleep because of my early start (which I'm very much not used to). Hurt lots aerobically.

Seems like I chose the same spot as Brody M to do my intervals (though he was doing something longer), saw him a few times.

To the Boulie, now we are allowed back! You'd think I'd be sick of it, but it's just a good place to train, quiet and very few stops. Cut short / hurried back because we were going to go buy an outdoor setting off Gumtree, came back to a message that the seller would have to rearrange ;/

Another good one, though went a bit further N on the Plenty River Trail and it gets quite boring. Wore a belt as thought it might be sensible to start carrying a snake bandage and phone, but the belt was a pain and kept riding up! Looking forward to being able to go a bit further afield this week.
