Oops...went a bit long. Got a 10k radius now which meant we were able to go mountain biking in Candlebark. Was good fun. Very slow, Candlebark is constantly twisty so never gain any speed.

4 x 7 min steady / 3 min float. Wasn't trying to break any records, just trying to improve on last week, which I did for the first three at least! The first time I've done a fourth, it wasn't toooo much slower. HR was stubbornly low but didn't feel like I could go any harder...Really tried to make sure the floats were float, not jog, which I think I achieved.

My wombat friend tried to attack me! I admit maybe I just scared him with my headlight and he ran towards me in a panic rather than away, but it certainly seemed like a tiny dense beastie jumped out of the bushes and made a hasty beeline for my shins...

Wednesday runs are back! I was so sore today (esp right calf and both hammys) so took it very slow and easy. Beautiful day. Apparently global running day!

5.25 x 4min on / 2 min off, descending. It was descending (just) but on what was supposed to be the 6th I had some gut issues and pulled the pin. Otherwise reasonably happy with this, other than how slow it was!

I was lucky because the Heidelberg FC oval had its lights on (a few groups of 2 football players were training) and it has a nice sealed path all the way around. Wasn't looking forward to slogging this out in the dark.

The Boulie isn't in our 5km so we decided to go and do reps of the Pony Club hill - from the West and then from the East x 4. Pushed but not max. Got a flat on the first time up on the East side so got a bit more recovery than planned. Lovely (if very cold) evening.

On the single trails along the Yarra and in the direction of Plenty River Trail. Gorgeous day, very cold but no clouds or wind. So many people out. Felt quite good and ankle was pretty good too.
