For some daft reason I decided to run Vic Milers (possibly peer pressure, most of my group was doing it). Actually kinda had fun! Had no idea what to aim for as I never run track and certainly not 3k so just picked sub-11.

Started feeling really good and lead the first 3-4 laps with my clubmate / intervals partner Aleks. Then some other girls kicked and I couldn't go with them, decided to just listen to the timer and try to keep under 88s laps as that was 11min.

Definitely was not feeling good any more with 1k to go but it was nearly over and so I was able to hold on to the end! Maybe 3k isn't as horrendous as I remember!

Meant to be an 8 Lap wave (short session before race on Thurs) but I'd had a pain in the gut / bloating all day and sure enough I had to bail out partway through to visit the facilities. Finished off the last couple of laps but not really quite the intent of the session.

4 x Pony Club reps (8 hills in total). Been a long time since I've done hills, and legs quite tired, so the last few were more survival than effort! Lovely evening.

Warm up "jog" loop up to the top of Mt Beckworth and back around to the car. Tough but good views!

Orienteering training on Mt Beckworth set by dad. Really good fun! Again, very rusty; struggling to simplify / choose good attack features, found myself doing a bit of "pinballing". Need some more practice and confidence.
