Jogging 2:12:25 [3] 22.17 km (5:58 / km) +566m 5:18 / km
ahr:153 max:169

Plenty Gorge run. Really lovely, thoroughly enjoyed. Felt really good for the first half, then went up a really steep climb which seemed to murder my lungs and from there on I struggled with breathing, though body was OK.

(rest day)

Ooft, bit cooked today.

Jogging 15:01 [3] 2.51 km (5:59 / km) +82m 5:09 / km

Running intervals 11:06 [5] 1.44 km (7:42 / km) +211m 4:27 / km

Wedging in a run from the Silvan office before dark and before a concert tonight. Picked a hill at random, did 2 x "Long" Hills (360m, 60m climb), 2 x "Short" Hills (180m, 17m climb), then 1 more "Long" Hill. Felt pretty sore and not zippy. Also I think the hill was a bit too steep for the purpose.

Jogging warm up/down 24:07 [3] 4.27 km (5:39 / km) +14m 5:33 / km

Jog down recoveries and warm down

Jogging 1:06:45 [3] 12.71 km (5:15 / km) +132m 5:00 / km
ahr:147 max:165

Lovely morning, but not feeling great. Very chesty, HR a bit higher than I'd like.
5 PM

Cycling 9:57 [3] 3.93 km (23.7 kph) +18m

Before I left, I thought I'd put a little air in my softish rear tyre. Terrible choice. The first of our pumps failed entirely, and I realised (after changing my tube) that the second pump wasn't forming a seal around the valve, so it was going flat the second you stopped pumping. I eventually got it pumped (sort of), but got 10min down the road and thought I'd just use the hand pump because it was still a bit soft. The hand pump 1) unscrewed the valve core so the tube went completely flat again and 2) didn't work at all to pump the tube up again. Could it have been more of a farce?

Cycling 53:01 [3] 24.4 km (27.6 kph)

After getting the train home furious, on the trainer doing Wahoo Systm - Attacker. Felt pretty good.

Cold, wore a long sleeve.
6 PM

Jogging warm up/down 14:38 [3] 2.91 km (5:02 / km) +7m 4:58 / km
ahr:140 max:155

Running intervals 13:32 [5] 4.0 km (3:23 / km)
max:185

10 x 400 off 80-85ish - ran with James so just went on his 90s recovery so I'd get company. Was very grateful for the company, I'd got stuck working late so missed MUAC training and was facing having to do this alone in the dark. Also met Russ who is a new MFR member who seems nice (and fairly speedy!). Felt crap but this actually went OK - reasonably consistent. Backed off a bit in the last 5 because I started a bit too hot.

My new HR strap reckons I got my HR to 189...not sure I'm capable of that.

Jogging warm up/down 21:22 [3] 3.74 km (5:43 / km) +36m 5:27 / km

Wahoo Systm - On Location - Gran Canaria: Serenity. Was a little too easy, need to bump up the FTP.

Jogging 2:03:53 [3] 21.61 km (5:44 / km) +547m 5:05 / km
ahr:151 max:171

Sunday Long (mostly) with the MUAC squad at Ferny Creek. To be honest I found the pace a bit hot (mostly up the hills) while I was with the squad, I wasn't sad that they stopped after 90min and I did the last bit with just 1 other. Didn't feel that strong today. Still, really lovely day, beautiful run.
