| the run home. We got lost in the beginning, and made the run about a half mile longer. My knees were killing me, and my hips were starting to hurt too. I was so grateful to see my house. | ||

| I didn't actually run today. I just didn't feel like it. I am feeling slightly guilty for not doing so. So to make myself feel better I am writing in my strength exercises, although I'm not giving myself any time, since I normally do not enter it at all. Only when I'm desperate. Maybe this will ease the guilt. | ||

| My first ever trail race! It was 23K long, over rolling hills in NH. I was very very nervous, but it was fairly painless! I ran behind dad for most of the way. It was a nice run through some narrow and wide trails. We were running alone for most of the middle, and then we caught more people at the end. With about 2 miles left I broke away from the pack and started running harder to the finish. I did expect the finsh to come up sooner than it did, but I managed to hold my pace through til the end, although I didn't catch up to anyone new. Ross beat me by about a minute and I got dad by about a minute. I was fifth woman.... not bad for my first trail race! | ||

| another skiyline trail run with dad and Ross. We were dry for the first 20 minutes and then it went to light rain, to heavy rain, to torrential downpour, and back to heavy rain. Running down the hills was like running down a stream with the running water coming up over the top of my shoes! I couldn't have been wetter had I jumped into a lake. | ||

| A skyline trail run in the Blue Hills with dad and Ross... I felt very tired and my legs were sore. A slower time than I was running earlier in the summer, but we weren't pushing as much in the beginning and I am certainly still tired from the weekend. | ||

| The mega was a blast :) I started right around many other people and I was constantly running with or near others while out in the woods. Zan and I planned on running near each other, and it worked out that we were together for about half of it. The bee sting at control 111 was a pain in ankle that just wouldn't go away, but I finished! | ||
