| ran around Newton after my day long class. Ross was supposed to come with me, but he conveniently had his only pair of tights in the washer. So I ran alone in the dark. At least I had my ipod to keep me company. I did about 15 minutes of warm up, 30 seconds to a minute jog between, and then about 15 minute cooldown. |

| ran 8x 3minutes, since that seems to be the thing to do :) I wasn't going too fast, maybe a bit slower than threshold? I was only going to do 5, but I got lost and wanted to run faster to try and figure out where I was. |

| I rushed home from work and threw on clothes to do pilates. I have a class this weekend, so the training time is cut down. I could have gone running, but I felt that by the time i put on my running clothes and shoes and got out the door, it would have been quite a short run. Plus, it was cold :) |

| running old sprint courses around Houghton's Pond. Map memory again. This time memorizing 2 legs at once. |

| warm up and cool down. The warm up was around the pond, and that was cold! I did have on 3 shirts and my new hat. The three shirts did become warm after we were orienteering for awhile. |

| I went to a lecture, and so got home late. I went running around Newton with Ross. |

| in the middle of the run did 5x 1min sprints. They were basically to keep warm and get the heart rate up for a bit. |
Monday Feb 5 |

| It was too cold and windy to think about running outside. I rowed in 10 minute intervals, since I couldn't sit there for 30 minutes straight. |
Sunday Feb 4 |

| my first adventure race... sort of :) It was a training. First we ran a short o course on an o map. Then the rest was biking rogaine. |

| the biking was done partially on roads and partially on trails. Biking on the trails was fine, not going too fast for the wind chill to really kill you. The roads were cold though! 20 degress with no wind chill, so much colder when biking. I had on 6 tops, 2 pairs of pants, 2 hats, plus my helmet, thick socks and toe warmers, 2 pairs of gloves. And it was all needed :) Biking in this weather is not something I plan on doing again though :) |
