| Threshold run on the trails in the Blue Hills with dad. HR was a bit low because the trails were a mess of soft snow, slush, ice and mud. Couldn't get the grip I needed to run fast. HR around 180/181 most of the time, dropping to 175 and peaking at 184. |

| 3 times up Westfield Street. My HR was lower than usual and I had trouble getting it to go higher simply because I couldn't run any faster. Times were 7:02, 7:05, 7:12. Around normal times, but a bit slower, which makes sense since HR was lower. |

| An orienteering cvourse in the Blue Hills with dad. There was a few inches of snow on the ground - enough to go over the top of my shoes and get my socks wet. We were trying to run harder than usual, and still were trading off legs to run from memory. |

| Dad and I drove to the trails in Weston to go running. But when we got on the trail, we had to turn back after 2 minutes. There is a crust on the snow, and one foot would be on the crust and then the other would break through. If we broke through every step or if we stayed on the crust every step, it would have been ok. But the occasional break through made it impossible to actually run.
So we drove back to Newton and went running on some of the trails and roads around here. It was shorter than planned, and slower too, since the trails were not ideal for running. But it was good to get outside. |
