Note
yeah, someday when I actually have free time in my life I will begin logging and and even back log (or so I think now). Hopefully I'll begin next week? I feel like I have missed out on so much! :)
C • We've missed you! 4
trail run 40:00 [1]
chasing around my student out in the Needham Town Forest. I send them out in pairs and then I run around onthe trails trying to mkae sure they don't get lost. It's rather worrisome when I see my assistant out running and he's loke, "haven't seen Jake in awhile." and I'm like, "yeah, me neither.... oh well, he couldn't be that lost." and my assistant says, "no, probably not." and we both go running off.
trail run 30:00 [2]
Jogging around in the Needham Town Forest after my kids left to pick up some stray streamers. The horseflys were horrible though, so it wasn't the most enjoyable run.

Thursday Jul 26

trail run 50:00 [1]
Setting out and picking up controls at the Needham Town Forest for my students. Then running around on the trails trying not to lose them.
Orienteering 11:30 [4]
Ross set a short sprint at Hammond Pond to run for this week's training. I ran it once, and was going to run it again, but people were being stung by bees and I was having much more fun standing around at the start/finish area chatting with people and catching up :)

Wednesday Jul 25

Orienteering 32:00 [3]
After the interview with the Transcript, Hill, Dad and I ran different legs from the old relay course in the Bue Hills. Got a bit confussed on #2, stopping too short and then not reading the contours correctly.

Tuesday Jul 24

Orienteering 6:40 [1]
warm up jog before the "sprint" course at Regis College woods.
Orienteering 54:00 [3]
O- course at Regis College woods. It was thick and difficult to move quickly. We really had to slow down in some places, especially the few times the person leading lost their way.

Monday Jul 23

road run 30:00 [1]
running to and from the dedham track with dad and Hill.
track workout 10:00 [4]
First, ran 3 800s, each getting faster. Aiming for 2:50, 2:45, 2:40. 3 minutes rest. Seeing as my PR in high school was 2:28, I was a bit worried. We ran the first 2 pretty much right on, but then I was 2:41 for the last one. Hill was leading the last 800 and we started out way too fast, which I think killed me.

Then 4x200 around 39, then 1 400 at 75.

Sunday Jul 22

trail run 1:56:00 [2]
Long run with Hill in the Blue Hills, running almost all of the long skyline loop (we skipped one hill). We also screamed like girls when we saw a snake in the trail. It was squirming back and forth because it was between Hill and I and it couldn't find a good way off the trail. We screamed, jumped around a lot, sprinted away, then collapsed in hysterical laughter.
