Saturday Oct 27

road run 31:00 [1]
run with Ross around Newton when we woke up. It was raining, but warm, so it wasn't so bad.
road run 2:00 [4]
Running hard for 2 minutes near the end.

Friday Oct 26

road run 30:00 [1]
running with Hill over to Stoney Lea, and then jogging slowly between "400s" and then running home.
track workout 5:00 [4]
Hill and I ran for 75 seconds hard around Stoney Lea with about 2 to 2.5 minutes of jogging between. It was nice to run fast and I felt good. I wonder if I was really going 400 meters.

Note
Took off today because I had class, so I came home and made pizza for the group that was doing the Newton Street O training. Pizza was just as yummy as last time :) I also took off yesterday becasue I had to take ibuprofen in order to fall asleep Tuesday night because my legs were so sore. Mostly my joints, but I just have not been feeling well physically lately. Here's hoping that tomorrow I'm feeling better.

Orienteering 51:06 [3]
Ran the same course in the Blue Hills as last wekk, only today it was only dad and I. We each had a map, and we took different routes when possible to the controls. As I have run this course a few times, I have become accustomed to running each leg a certain way, and it was interesting to see that other ways were actually faster. I went faster today, but it was easier because we were meeting up at every control, so there was a rest, and we weren't trading off one map, like Hill and I were.

road/trail run 35:15 [1]
Did a short run around Newton by myself. My legs are dying, so I decided to wake them up by doing about 300 butt kicks and about 200 high knees while running. I don't think it helped.

Sunday Oct 21

Orienteering 1:27:30 [3] 9 km (9:43 / km)
A course at Powissett Peak. Legs are so dead, but didn't make any large errors - twice running part of the way downa wrong trail and a questionable route choice to #8. Beat Ross by a bit, although not in the official results as I broke my necklace leaving #3 and stopped my watch to look for it. It's the necklace that I have been wearing everyday for the past... oh, 4 or 5 years. It's my everyday stable, and now all that is left is a broken chain :(. It has made it through countless orienteering races, but got ripped off by a pine branch today, which didn't even draw blood on my neck.
