road biking 45:00 [1] 13.7 km (3:17 / km)

Biking to and from town to join some club members for brunch. Ross watched Sofie at home. It was 6.1km on the way down, and on the way back I went along the river and it was 7.6km. Felt good to be on a bike again!

Repeat of day 2 cardio workout. Mountain climbers are still hard.

Tried the stroller again. Started well, she was awake, and then fell asleep. But then after about 20 minutes of napping she woke up. Took her out twice to try to calm her, which worked the first time, but she continued to cry the second time.

I'm following a plan, so today was the same workout as day 1.

The plan is here.

After visiting Ross's coworkers this morning, Sofie and I walked home.

Day 2 of the plan, cardio workout. Went ok, but skipped the mountain climbers, since that was really hurting that sore muscle area.

Sofie's on a weird sleeping schedule today because we went to see Ross's coworkers during her morning nap time. So instead of sleeping one long block, she's spent the day sleeping in 30-45 minute blocks, but a lot of them. Leaves me time to nap during one and do this workout during another. Now time to bake muffins!

Today we went in the morning to get Sofie her Swedish visa, and then she feel asleep on me when we returned. I put her down and instead of walking I did this workout.

My core muscles are pretty bad at the moment - going from laying down to sitting up in bed while holding Sofie is nearly impossible. I also have pain in my hip abductors (the muscle in the inner thigh near the groin). It hurts when I lit my legs, and I notice stretching it when I do the butterfly stretch. I think this is the same muscle that would sometimes be sore when I was running when pregnant. It's been sore for weeks now, though I would have thought if it was normal muscle soreness it would have disappeared.

Took my gps watch on my walk today! Interesting to see how far I go and how quickly I walk. It's slower on the trails, unsurprisingly. Sofie then had her doctors appointment and she's still growing! 4kg now!

I was happy when I put Sofie in the stroller and she feel asleep on her own! Unfortunately, she woke up about 15 minutes into the walk. I took her out, rocked her a bit, and put her back in when she was calm. That didn't last too long, and so the walk was cut short. But I wanted her to have her morning nap, so I fed her and then put her in the carrier. We went for another walk, and she slept wonderfully. She was super adorable and expressive when we returned! So many expressions and noises now!

Unfortunately, this evening she is again having trouble falling asleep. I tried a bunch of things, but in the end I put her in the carrier and walked around the house and now I'm sitting here with her sleeping in it. We'll see how long this nap lasts before we transition to bedtime.

Today I took the bus into town to see a co-worker who is also on maternity leave with her 7.5 month old. I powerwalked with Sofie in the carrier to try to catch the 8 bus down the hill, but just missed it and had to wait for the next one. Jen met me at the bus stop and we walked a bit more. Sofie actually continued to sleep for awhile once we got to her apartment. Then Sofie woke, got introduced to little Ilona, and ate. When she fell asleep again after about 2 hours I packed her back in the carrier and took the bus home, stopping one stop early to walk back in trails. A great way to spend the day! I’m looking forward to when Sofie is old enough to actually notice and interact with other babies!
