Orienteering 58:40 [2] 6.32 km (9:17 / km) +20m 9:08 / km

Checking out more courses in Lunsen for Oringen. Nice to have others that also want to run there (Elisa and Johan and kids) so that more courses get tested and Sofie has someone to play with. As long as the weather stays nice, we'll keep going!

Day 1 of week 2

Friday Oct 9 #

Rasa and David were in town to check out a house they want to buy in Uppsala (yay!) so we walked to the playground with them, and that is the only exercise today.
I am slowly convincing all my friends here to buy houses within a 2km radius of me. Perfect.

road run (stroller) 50:44 [2] 8.25 km (6:09 / km) +31m 6:02 / km

Lovisa and David had their baby 7 days ago, and I ran to them with Ella in the stroller so I could meet then for a walk to see the little one. However, feeding Vidar took longer than they planned, so Ella and I had lots of time to run around the neighborhood. He was then a bit grumpy in the stroller so we only did a short walk. It was great to see them, even if for a short bit. And it gave me a good reason to go running.
The insoles are still causing blisters and I forgot to tape my heels, so it was really painful running home.

Why walk when you can run?
Picking up Sofie from school with Ella.

lifting/strength 24:04 [3]

Day 4 of Commit 25. HIT style workout, same as day 3. Between this, grocery shopping, and making and eating lunch for myself and Ella, my 5 hours that Sofie was at preschool disappeared!
It was very rainy today, so came home with Sofie right after school. Then went to terrängserien with Ross, Sofie and Ella. It was raining the entire time. We biked there and I thought Ella would be her usual happy self in the stroller. She was not, and we have a sobbing baby for part of the run and then entire bike ride home. At least Sofie enjoyed splashing in muddles puddles and had a good time.
Results in the 6 and under category.

lifting/strength 23:13 [2]

Did 2 aerobic style workouts. It was muddy, so good not to do the core exercises. It's getting cooler, but today was a beautiful day. It's unfortunately the only day this week where it's not going to be raining. I wonder how long the weather will hold so that we can comfortably do strength outside.
Followed by lunch!

road&trail run (stroller) 28:07 [2] 4.45 km (6:19 / km) +43m 6:02 / km

Ran from preschool to town to meet Catia for strength and lunch. Ella slept the whole way there.
12 PM

road&trail run (stroller) 29:43 [2] 4.32 km (6:52 / km) +55m 6:28 / km

I have always taken the bus home after meeting in town so that I have time to get back, shower, change and pick up Sofie. However, the time it takes me to walk to the bus stop, wait for the bus (lately it's been running late and last time one bus just never came), then walk to the house isn't that much longer than running. Having just eaten lunch I wasn't going very fast, but Ella fell asleep again so she didn't mind that we were taking awhile.
Again, it was a beautiful day and who knows when the next nice day will come!
After picking up Sofie we played at the playground and then we walked a bit further away from home to catch the trail and then walk home on the trail. It was really nice! Ella doesn't mind watching from the stroller with a few toys and Sofie likes walking. We picked grass, found leaves and pulled bark off of dead branches. She got in the stroller for the final bit of the walk. I love being outside!
