road&trail run 1:00:00 [2] 4.55 km (13:11 / km) +46m 12:33 / km

Two years ago I was orienteering and ran through a huge patch of fall chanterelles (trattkantarell). When Hill came to visit that year we ran out there the night she arrived to go pick them. I decided to go back out today to see if there was still a large patch. So out to my secret stash, and there it was! A really good patch of moss covered with trattkantarell. I wandered the area a bit more and found about 5 beautiful yellow chanterelles, but no more large patches. You have to go through a green swamp to find the patch and it's below a giant cliff, so it's not surprising that no one else has been to pick there. It's been a really wet fall, so I think the mushroom growing conditions are quite good.
This morning we went as a family to Lunsen and hiked only 1km in to a small cabin and picnic area. We also found lots of mushrooms just along that trail. It's a popular place for families to go hike and I guess none of them bother to stop and look for mushrooms. We parked there just after 9am, so we were the only people at the cabin, but saw 4 or 5 families heading out on the trail as we were walking back. Ells slept almost the entire time in the front pack and Sofie enjoyed looking for mushrooms... as long as we didn't take too long.

Orienteering 1:07:19 [2] 6.21 km (10:50 / km) +32m 10:34 / km

Night orienteering with Lisa! We biked to KG to pick up the maps and then biked as close as we could get to the start. Not doing any night orienteering in over a year has not improved my skills, and Lisa had to bail me out on almost every leg that I led. She didn't seem to mind and we have a good time chatting and running. I didn't want to get out in the cold and dark. but so glad that I did.

road&trail run 1:03:43 [2] 10.94 km (5:49 / km) +133m 5:29 / km

Ran to and from town by myself this morning to get the shock treatment on my foot. Took Gula stigen the entire way, which meant only the last kilometer was actually on pavement. I think that the plantars fasciitis is a lot better, but now my whole foot just hurts when walking. Actually while running it felt great, but it gets so stiff and sore during the day. Maybe I have to start doing Greg's ankle exercises to get things to loosen up a bit.
Ross took Sofie to school this morning and hung out with Ella at home until I came back.

Core Flow, which I think is day 5 of week 3. Mostly stretching, which felt great. Ella woke up though and then it was time to go get Sofie from school, so didn't quite do the whole 25 minutes.
