Orienteering 52:38 [3] 6.39 km (8:14 / km) +97m 7:39 / km

Today was a middle distance so I ran D21. I started early and had a gps vest, so you can watch a lot of my race on their live stream. I made some rather large 2-3 minute mistakes on a few controls, but overall I really enjoyed it. Much more forest running and some vague areas where it was really hard to know if I was going the right away. I feel like I lack a bit of confidence, so it was nice to get out and train it back up a bit!

Orienteering 1:25:06 [3] 13.26 km (6:25 / km) +165m 6:02 / km

Ran D35 ultra long, as the 16km D21 sounded way too long. This was very urban forest so the terrain wasn’t so bad and there was a lot of trail running. I was behind another woman on 1 and 2, but then we both missed 3, but I figured it out faster. After that I was ahead, though I saw her after I made a mistake going into 9. A really nice run and I felt strong. I made some mistakes and I didn’t do well on the harder controls, but luckily a lot of it was pretty straight forward.

trail run 1:01:51 [3] 10.01 km (6:11 / km) +93m 5:54 / km

We went to Brattforsheden, which is an absolutely beautiful area. It was only 15 minutes from the house we were staying in. Mom and Dad went running first and Ross and I hiked a bit with the girls. Then we ran on an out and back trail. There was a small lake at the end which we decided to run around and that trail was barely there.
A beautiful area that I’d love to come back and explore more.

Ran by myself today and found the beginning of the nice single track trail and ran along that.

trail run 1:10:23 [2] 10.47 km (6:43 / km) +243m 6:01 / km

We rented a house in Filipstad for 3 nights. I was looking for a house that had at least 3 bedrooms and trails right out the door. This house is right next to a cross country ski center, so there are lots of trails just outside the door. Ross and I tried to explore further, but many of the trails on our phone map don’t exist anymore. We had to bushwhack twice, but then got on a nice single track. We ran up to the radio tower, but it was too rainy and foggy to see the top.

trail run 45:42 [2] 7.94 km (5:45 / km) +60m 5:33 / km

I thought to run longer but I was tired. It was a nice morning so I decided to cut the run short and go home and gather the girls for a picnic. We went with Grandma to the zip line and played on the playground and picnicked.
