Road ride to hathersage that turned into ride to the top of the hill b4 hathersage as my tires took ages to pump up so we set off late! nice non impact related sport woooo!
bridge upset a 4X4 driver and so thort we might get rammed off the road as she stopped just ahead of us, but it appeared she just wanted to rev her engine loudly to emphisize her point of 'u should build more bike racks!'....not sure how that would hav solved the issues with the size of her car.....
it rained!
a woman en route home learnt that brakes dont work as well in the wet as she tried to run in front of my bike!

40 exercises at 45/15 - didnt strictly follow the exercises, replaced nething jump or run related that i couldn't do with 'soft' impact on the shins with something else, meant meanness for my other non shin related muscles!

Running (7 William Hills) 53:00 [5] *

ShUOC race round the 7 William Hills - lost zanthe,gaz and laura at the top of springvale due to traffic lights changing then ran most of it on my own. Shins didnt appreciate tarmac i dont think....
hehehe got funny looks from shoppers around the centre, interesting route to 3rd control and a bit of faff near primark (too many roads to decide where the map actually meant) but generally good

6minute intervals - not sure if i picked the right distances this week, its different when i'm not nackered to start with!
1= 800m - found this too little but really ran it fast for a first one, liked the fact mountain biking obviously hadnt wrecked my legs as much as i thought it had
2 = 900m - found this fine, didn't want to push it too far with 2 to go
3= 900m - this was also fine, could have kept running but couldn't make my legs move any faster
4 = 1000m - i think i should have really done 4 X 1000 but it was worth trying to make my legs move faster on shorter distances i think.

Everything ached from mountain biking, especially arms - made press ups difficult!
8 sets of 5 activities at 45/15
intensity varied due to which muscles hurt most to start with - sit up related stuff was fine - more like a 4
arm related things involved more of a struggle.....

awesome route round welsh forest, good downhill sections especially the one at the end! managed 2 punctures (one of which meant a swift run along the track to catch the bike pump up), my brakes suffering a battering and almost broke my derailer!
excellent finish to the weekend

New experience, never really done any mountain biking before. Only crashed once woooooo!
even made it over the wooden built majig! awesome fun with some nice technical (but apparently not technical enough for andy to fall off) black bits and a really fast fun blue to finish!

Gentle run of the ShUOC fell race route as my mashed for no reason ankle wouldnt allow me to do it last week! set off from goodwin and ended at home, steady pace coz was a little nackered still from weekend activities

Running race (leg it round lathkil) 58:00 [5] 7.1 mi (8:10 / mi)

Schmole round lathkil plan turned into a leg it round lathkil, fast start along the river at the bottom had me in 3rd female position, then there was a steap climb out of the river followed by a less severe gradient to the top where there was some lovely views to run by! legs were feeling yesterday by the time we hit the last bit - descent! was overtaken by 3 women on the descent = highly unusual! this is my fave bit!!
evil hill to finish but really nice route and v.fast!

fairly ok, couple of faffs - one at 1 when i forgot that it was the swipy emit control rather than a punch, then i took an interesting route to 10 involving thinking my initial route choice wasnt actually possible due to a wall....actually it turns out the stairs by the wall lead over it not up to a house but by the time i knew this i'd finished so it was a slightly longer route that i took!

Repeat 6 times.....owwww only 5 and 2/3 completed b4 legs weren't moving fast enough to make it worth while!
