Wednesday Apr 30

orienteering 46:00 [3] *** 4.6 km (10:00 / km)
spiked:17/20c
Beeley woods - felt awefully slow today, think my legs are a little unhappy, navigation wasnt too shabby though, just need to rest before the weekend now.....and mebbe try running with glasses to see if they fall off as there were some sight issues tonight!

Tuesday Apr 29

Running 25:00 [5]
17 minutes of 300m which worked out as 8X300m then 5X200m
had to wait until he was running round the top bend before i could see his face but then recognised rocket ronnie at the track, as dave said, no sign of the bentley....
my legs hate me!
Running warm up/down 30:00 [2] 2.25 mi (13:19 / mi)
warm down - back from getting feet fixed

Monday Apr 28

circuits 40:00 [4]
Yes i actually did a proper training session! ankle appears not to mind circuits too much (mebbe coz im not stood on it the whole time)!

Saturday Apr 26

Walking 5:00:00 [3] 8.0 mi (37:29 / mi) +780m 17:53 / km
Snowdon horse shoe - attempted to do more than 3/4, 3rd time lucky! was really misty on top (totally didnt nearly end up in the wrong valley twice) and there were nice patches of snow but we made it round.
Having planned on maybe running around in wales this wkend i only took my mudclaws = ankle did not appreciate the rocky terrain in them.
were better than the o-shoe version for gripping to wet rock though!
met some crazy crazy people heading up crib goch at about 2:30 wearing lonsdale 'i have no grip' trainers and asking 'is there a ridge up there?......oh dear....we didnt see them fall off the side though
C • yeah... 3

Thursday Apr 24

Running race 23:38 [3] 2.5 mi (9:26 / mi) +152m 4:56 / km
Hartcliff hill - possibly still feeling the effects of the AGM....shoe fell off half way up the hill which was a bummer but wasnt travelling very fast anyway!

Monday Apr 21

Running race 35:00 [3] 4.25 mi (8:14 / mi) +170m 4:33 / km
Trunce 2! well my 1st.... didnt push it, ankle wasnt happy on firm surfaces....which is most of the race and legs were lacking a bit in energy! was happy on hills (in either direction) and on grass though! will update time to correct time when i actually know what i did!

Sunday Apr 20

orienteering race 28:00 [5] *** 4 km (7:00 / km) +75m 6:24 / km
spiked:12/12c
British champs relays womens short: YES! made up for yesterdays faff with a clean as clean can be run! (28 mins is a bit of a guess as i was 1st leg with emit so my time wasnt accurate on splits...plus it took me a while to make it down to the finish after handing over!) could not have run any harder, think my ankle may not have fully appreciated that but heh, it meant we were 3rd so woooo!

Saturday Apr 19

Event: British Long Champs

orienteering race 1:27:31 [4] *** 7.4 km (11:50 / km) +185m 10:31 / km
spiked:23/25c
OOOOOPS! dodgy ankle taping plus general silly brain = big mess!

Tuesday Apr 15

Running (track) 22:00 [5] 4.8 km (4:35 / km)
Track session at hallamshire, 1st time since december! did 300,400,600,1000,600,400,300 with 200m jogging in between each one! really nackered after that! then there was 5 mins of shuttle runs as well!
Running warm up/down 20:00 [2]
warm up at track plus 5 mins of shuttle runs after main session followed by warm down

Friday Apr 11

cylcing 45:00 [4] 10.0 mi (4:30 / mi) +185m 2:39 / km
ShUOC peloton ride, cut it short, legs didnt appreciate moving for any longer
Running 15:00 [2]
jog up to and from bike!

Thursday Apr 10

Note
(injured)
Not pounding ankle with intervals just yet, ive managed swelling (even if it is a tiny amount!), unusual - even when i completely wreck it it normally appears annoyingly normal so no1 can see what ive actually done to it! few more days will have it fixed hopefully

Wednesday Apr 9

Running 1:30:00 [3] 7.5 mi (11:59 / mi) +90m 7:11 / km
Nice girly run up through the parks, tested my ankle out a bit, now that my calves are less tight it appears my ankle didnt magically fix itself afterall. Used the last of the unsticky tape for strapping and it was ok apart from the occasional pain when i put my foot in a certain way (not sure wot that way is...)

Monday Apr 7

circuits 40:00 [3]
didnt quite manage all the exercises that involved jumping on my calves and think i might have been a bit tired but i could feel my legs after!!!
Running 40:00 [2]
run up to goodwin and then after circuits running with liz zanthe and laura, seems to be just wot my legs need!

Saturday Apr 5

Running race 3:30:00 [4] 12.0 mi (17:29 / mi) +2000m 7:10 / km
Mourne mountains race, was really fun! lots and lots of hill, but had an excellent run for most of it managing half in a comfortable 1:28! also it didnt go arctic on us :-) sun and running is gut! slight diversion into a stream after damaging ankle cost me a bit but good overall! pretty place!

Friday Apr 4

Running 2:00:00 [2] 6.5 mi (18:27 / mi) +900m 8:01 / km
run/jog/walk to view some of the course, looked excellent in the sun and a little bit scary to see all the mountains to climb tomorrow!
