Note
(injured) (rest day)

Went to see 'an evening with Jessica Ennis. Walking home I suddenly got a massive pain in my right big toe. No idea why! Hopefully still ok for Sunday

Thursday Nov 29, 2012 #

7 PM

Running 1:02:20 [2] 5.56 mi (11:13 / mi) +341m 9:25 / mi

Pennine run - Dragons Back to South Head and back. Felt like someone was sat on my chest, the joys of the first run in the real cold of the year. Floor totally frozen! Beautiful moonlit run :-)

Note
(rest day)

Tuesday Nov 27, 2012 #

Running 37:10 [2] 4.44 mi (8:22 / mi) +140m 7:37 / mi

Run down to intervals then back with Johnny and Treb

Monday Nov 26, 2012 #

5 PM

circuits 45:00 [2]

ShUOC Circuits. Nackered so nearly didn't go but right hand side feeling a bit better afterwards.

Sunday Nov 25, 2012 #

11 AM

cycling 1:36:42 [2] 21.83 mi (13.5 mph) +425m

Lovely peaks ride with Rachael. Looked like it was going to be grim when we set off but the clouds cleared leaving only the wind to contend with. From Hathersage over to Grindleford, Hassop Hall, Monsal Head, Foolow, Bradwell and Back to Hathersage.
Seriously considering a compact for days like today where legs feeling like lead. Still not on top form, waiting for remnants in my chest to clear.

Saturday Nov 24, 2012 #

10 AM

Running warm up/down 16:45 [2] 2.14 mi (7:50 / mi)

Run down to the chasing sprint. Legs feeling a bit better than yesterday but it was mainly downhill...
11 AM

orienteering 27:53 [3] 4.7 km (5:56 / km) +57m 5:36 / km

Prologue.

No1 - dubious route
No2 - was at the bloomin control and couldn't see it - clearly blind
No3-No9 - scrappy but no major disasters, clearly remembering how to orienteer
No10 - Don't know what I was thinking with the route I took - lost 1.5mins
No11-16 - a bit cleaner
No17 - went AWOL then couldn't see the kite again - still blind
No18 - ran to the top of the building after losing time faffing and looking on the ground floor and ba-ba informing me it wasn't on the 1st floor....it was on the first floor...

Clean to the finish.

Very very scrappy, should really do a bit more practice.
2 PM

orienteering 24:55 [3] 4.14 km (6:01 / km) +30m 5:48 / km

No1 - I am a numpty
No12 - I am an even bigger numpty.
Apart from that a lot smoother on the Nav as had Alice Fellbaum on my shoulder and RFR and Alice on my shoulder after no12...

Put the boot in a bit more - not feeling good when doing that

Friday Nov 23, 2012 #

4 PM

Spinning 10:00 [2] 3.5 km (2:51 / km)

Gym spin bike. Testing out doing a bit of exercise. Fine at low intensity, muscles still ruined for anything more and pretty tired.

Running (Treadmill) 9:00 [2] 1.75 km (5:09 / km)

Treadmill running, no orthotics

Swimming 10:00 [2] 0.33 km (30:18 / km)

Token swim so I could go and sit in the sauna :-) There was a really slow girl in the fast lane so got a lot of rest between every couple of lengths to let her get far enough ahead I wouldn't catch her

Thursday Nov 22, 2012 #

Note

Cold arrived last Thursday, sneezed hard enough to pull the muscle in my back I've been strengthening up which made breathing deeply impossible, no MTBO or BUCS cyclocross last weekend as a result and now stupid cough is dragging on. Want to be out running!

Tuesday Nov 13, 2012 #

7 PM

Running 1:20:11 [2] 8.18 mi (9:48 / mi) +394m 8:32 / mi

Monday Nov 12, 2012 #

7 PM

circuits 1:00:00 [2]

Fairplay circuits

Sunday Nov 11, 2012 #

11 AM

Running race 57:58 [4] 7.17 mi (8:05 / mi) +210m 7:25 / mi

Leg it round Lathkil. Felt fine and took the 'see how long I can keep with Laura' approach to racing. The answer is about 2 miles within touching distance, 5miles within a fields length...then I just don't have the last blast in the legs she does. 2nd by about 3mins! Still, looks like a PB for me by about 1min
Chest a bit tight towards the end and after - teach me to neglect to take an inhaler for several months...

Saturday Nov 10, 2012 #

12 PM

Running 58:16 [2] 4.94 mi (11:48 / mi) +260m 10:08 / mi

Farewell run with Claire and her friend Rosie on Totley Moor. Feeling much better but put in a couple of efforts and my HR went up quite quickly. Driving to Leg it Round Lathkil tomorrow but not sure if I'll race
