Running race 5:36:49 [4] 22.5 mi (14:58 / mi) +2702m 10:54 / mi

Digging deep at Daz's race. Buttermere Horseshoe. Probably my favourite route! This is epic and brilliant, felt tired but ran well off the start and kept that going for about 4-4:30. Brilliant day out in the hills and finally finding my running mojo for the long stuff. Steadied off in the last hour but getting there! 3rd lady...... and 1st U50 for which I got a prize

So glad it came together so I could do DazH justice.

Running race 6:04:34 [3] 23.7 mi (15:23 / mi) +2378m 11:44 / mi

Blowing away the Ofsted cobwebs quite literally. Ennerdale horseshoe fell race. Set off well, then immediately deviated from the line, but got it back and was cruising along in 2nd behind Kelli. Weather was wet and wild, Scoffer described it as the worst weather he'd ever raced in. After 2hrs, the hard work over the last week started to catch up and I was feeling tired in the head. Could quite happily have had a nap. Unfortunately I was now about the furthest away from the start possible. Nicky and Kirsty caught me and we worked together to find green gable, then I staggered up Kirk fell with the aim of getting to the finish. Somewhere after pillar I lost the path in my certainty that I didn't want to go to Wasdale. I have never not had any idea where I was in a race before. Couldn't work out where I'd come from and was on top of craggy steep ground. After 5-10mins I worked it out when the clag breifly lifted a few meters. Back on track and passing steeple, Kelli reappeared having been to red pike (what I was desperately trying to avoid). We ran together for a bit until I took a different line and promptly rolled an ankle. Never been so happy to reach the end of a race, but it was certainly one to remember. 4th Lady, cream crackered.

Mountain Biking race 14:56 [4] 1.7 mi (6.8 mph) +145m

Killington Sports - MTB race. First Lady :-) Off the bike, quick transition and onto the start line for the fell race.

Running race 15:05 [4] 1.7 mi (8:52 / mi) +145m 7:01 / mi

Killington Sports Fell race. Nicely warmed up after the MTB race, made it to the top in first, but Nina can't half drop off a hill. I tried to stay with her but was pipped to it, 2nd lady and an overall hall of £30 for the evening! Will stayed in one piece this year, anniversary of the leg break...

Turns out its not much different to MTB or run that course.
